  1. Wind noise solved at last -- using tube rubber seal

I kind of winged it - installed the L-shape ones in the gap between the windshield and A-pillar; T-shaped along the top windshield gap and the moonroof gap, as well as the shorter seams that run between the A-pillar and moonroof. have to say it has made a definite difference in every day...
  2. Tonneau Dilema!! Do I accept a 'Locked' Power Cover?

Also did it! I accepted delivery of my R1T yesterday expecting the cover to be locked open but was pleasantly surprised when it was working and unlocked. I signed the form noting that it might break and if so they’ll fix it etc. works so far - I plan to use it sparingly and keep it well lubed!
  3. DIY temporary tonneau / bed cover?

Another option might be slats of 1/2" thick manufactured wood flooring - already has the interlocking slats - just have to link them together when you slide them in...
  4. DIY temporary tonneau / bed cover?

Picking my R1T up tomorrow and have the same issue (locked open). Think I'm going to try to get some decent Marine Grade Plywood ($50/sheet), have it cut into 4 sections, then stain it w/ some dark gray stain to match the interior wood (Ocean Coast). Will have to figure out the end tabs at...
  5. Snow Mode Needed! - My first snow drives in R1S and R1T

Curious for those in snowy places (I'm not currently) - I keep hearing that the brake regeneration is too strong for very slippery / downhill conditions - and it doesn't engage the ABS? I wonder if you commit the biggest driving sin and try to 'two foot drive' in those situations? Press the...
  6. Tonneau Dilema!! Do I accept a 'Locked' Power Cover?

I did get the same email but my guide said it didn't apply to me b/c I already had a VIN assigned. They give me the option of choosing a truck from the R1 Shop, getting in line for a No / Manual cover truck, or waiting for the PT Truck (again no clue when that might be, but not sOOn as we all...
  7. Tonneau Dilema!! Do I accept a 'Locked' Power Cover?

Great thoughts, thanks all! FWIW my guide noted that all of the trucks in the R1 Shop are ones with no / manual covers, so apparently we've seen the last of the power cover production, N-T. Glad some of you have ones that are working (lubed or not, lol).....
  8. Tonneau Dilema!! Do I accept a 'Locked' Power Cover?

Hi Kids - need some advice here - I'm supposed to take delivery of my R1T (limestone / OC) next week but was just informed that the power tonneau is "Locked" and that I'll have to choose between keeping it locked open or closed, until the new / revised power tonneau arrives (no ETA on that as we...
