  3. New Tires after 14k miles? 20in ATs

Please don't get triggered on assumptions. There is no misinformation there. Indeed, OEM tires do not have a warranty, I never said they did. My point was that at least my new tires do if poor wear continues. You can buy another set of the Pirellis and they'll have a warranty too. For me...
  4. New Tires after 14k miles? 20in ATs

I replaced mine today with Michelins at just shy of 13k miles with 5 tire rotations. They were so loud it was driving me crazy. I feel like some of us got an exceptionally poor wearing batch of tires. I just cannot fathom my driving style being so much more aggressive that I'm getting less than...
  5. New Michelin Defender LTX M/S2 coming soon

I just replaced my 20" Pirellis at 12k miles with these. With 5 tire rotation all were at 3-5/32nds and they had gotten loud, it was driving me crazy. Finally my truck is quiet again and I can hear the motors instead of the tires. I weighed these at 77lbs (wheel & tire). Another member weighed...
  6. Michelin Defender LTX Platinum

I was seriously interested in this Defender Platinum tire until Michelin posted the specs to their site a few days ago. 60lbs in 275/65/20 vs 40lbs for the Defender LTX M/S 2 in 275/60/20. That's a huge difference.
  7. “Vehicle Error” after a few minutes of charging

Just finished my first charge on 2023.26.0 and instead of stopping the charge completely it did taper my charge rate down to 6kW from 9kW pretty quickly (40 amp mobile charger). While certainly an improvement, myself and others had no issues charging last summer so this is still a big downgrade...
  8. “Vehicle Error” after a few minutes of charging

I tried a few different variations with the fob, proximity locking, truck locked / unlocked, etc. but no luck. Seemed reasonable at the time since the truck immediately wakes and starts charging again when you approach with PaaK.
  9. “Vehicle Error” after a few minutes of charging

I agree and have had all the same thoughts. Tonight I left my truck plugged in after it failed since it was at another location to test and it stopped / resumed multiple times. 31kWh over 13 hours. This sort of thing does make me think there is a temperature element but who knows. I'm gonna let...
  10. “Vehicle Error” after a few minutes of charging

I wouldn't be so quick to pin this on scheduled charging. I, for one, have never used that functionality and am also experiencing this issue per above. I've attempted many different things to try and make sense of this, I even just tried using the same charger at another home and it resulted in...
  11. “Vehicle Error” after a few minutes of charging

I've been struggling with the same issue. I've used this particular 14-50 mobile EVSE at 40 amps on my R1T since August 2022. Last Friday I started seeing the "Vehicle error" in the app and as soon as I get close enough for my phone to wake the truck it starts charging again. It only ever...
  12. New Rivian customer satisfaction campaign -- halfshaft issue (on 2022 R1S and R1T)

I have not received that notification but just scheduled my truck in for service again yesterday. One of the service items to be addressed was the continued tocking and other noises from the rear of my truck. I noticed on the work order that they added what is described in the notification...
  13. How noisy is your front end?

Mine is pretty noisy, front more so but the rear as well. Just sounds like something is going to fall apart at any moment. Currently at the service center and this is one of the items on the list for the second time. Not sure they even did anything about it last time as nothing was noted on the...
  14. weathertech floor mats

I'm also wondering about the front Weathertech mats and equally concerned about lack of dead pedal coverage. Seems like quite a few of the mats out there are lacking in this area. I do have the SMARTLINER frunk mat and it works / fits great. They also got second row mats in stock recently and...
  15. Wind depresses hood

I observed the same issue during a recent road trip. Excessive hood vibration and the depression in the center at times. I can't imagine this would wear well over tens of thousands of miles. Currently have my truck in at the service center to correct this among other things. FWIW, my loaner has...
  16. Mounting a cell phone. Has anyone done it?

I have it and I'm not a fan. It's marginally better than nothing but the steering wheel is just far too in the way and leaning or otherwise altering your seating position just doesn't help much, making it pretty annoying overall. I''l be working working towards a modified solution as many above...
  17. Radar Detector hard wire, who has done it?

I completed this today and the cover took quite a bit of effort to remove. Mine did not want to pop off. One of my plastic trim tools broke in the process. I resorted to a taped screwdriver to get enough leverage to pop it off. I definitely recommend removing the metal clips, as jdubs...
  18. Low speed 'Tocking' when stopping or starting

A visit to the Kansas service center for this particular issue and the recall did not offer any improvement for me. My truck was surprisingly quiet when I first got it but that's not the case now. This issue keeps getting worse and I'm only at ~1,500 miles. I also dealt with the acceleration...
