    Honest question.... Why wouldn't every single owner of an R1S or R1T want the adapter? It's "free". Shouldn't it be sent to everyone by default? Are they hoping that some people don't reply to the email and time out of the free adapter distribution?

  4. Rivian's pricing problem... how do they solve it?

    One issue with this is that some people buy these vehicles through their businesses. You can't write off a used R1S/T the same way you write off a new one. That right there makes the new SUV the more attractive option.

    I don't know about that. I have that on my 2018 GX460 and I had to turn it off. It gets super annoying when you're slowing for a red light or in stop and go traffic.

    I got shop access with a Sept 2022 order date for R1S. Picked up my R1S last week. The key is getting your first mile drive.

    Thanks! Guess I'll have to switch to all purpose mode. I would have assumed that it just becomes a 2wd vehicle like most other cars out there. I learned something today.

    Can you please expand on that comment regarding "not a good choice for day to day driving"? I'm genuinely curious as I mainly drive in conserve mode. Is this a manufacturer recommendation? Is your only concern disproportionate tire wear for the front relative to rear? Or are there other reasons...

    I'm sure these issues ARE noticed at both the factory and SC. They're probably banking on most people taking delivery and not noticing any of these issues for a long time.

    Part 1 is incorrect. It does not have to be titled to the business. I have an S Corp and vehicles are under my own name.
