  1. Tesla Magic Dock is Amazing (Charged R1T @ Red Hook NY Station)

I’m in upstate NY (Albany area) and the Magic Docks are significantly pricier than both EA and EvolveNY (run by Shell Recharge). EA+ is .36/kWh and EvolveNY is .35/kWh with no subscription required. I’ll use them in a bind but the subscription and charging cost is higher than the competition.
  2. Red Canyon / Ocean Coast R1T with XPEL OEM PPF, tailgate partial de-badge, and bumper vinyl wrap

I just had my Silver R1T done at The Works. Overall I thought they did a great job and were really professional with a fair price. Have a few creases and bubbles that popped up but hoping they can take care of them at my 2 week. Yours turned out great!
  3. PSA: Driver+ Almost Caused a Crash

Really good point. There was a bridge nearby that had a few small shadows on the ground. Pretty concerning if shadows cause this!
  4. PSA: Driver+ Almost Caused a Crash

It had worked brilliantly for me prior to this incident. But as they say, only takes once. A scary situation for sure.
  5. PSA: Driver+ Almost Caused a Crash

Last week I was driving on the interstate using Driver +. Out of nowhere the vehicle lurched hard left towards the guardrail of a bridge. Luckily I was able to react quickly and save the vehicle from a crash. With my two kids in the backseat it was a terrifying experience. I have lost all...
  6. DIY tire rotation -- which direction? Front to back or across and back?

@SACDFJC appreciate the diagram, very helpful! Anyone spoken with a service advisor on how often they recommend the rotation? I’ll be using the 5 tire rotation on my 20ATs.
  7. VIN Over 10K - Any Issues Like Early VINs?

Vin 108XX here. A bunch of “smaller issues”. Working with the service advisor to figure out a best course of action. - panel gaps are excessive on the driver side - paint pulling away on edges of gear tunnel - windshield wipers auto feature buggy. Goes off often with no water - proximity key...
  8. XPEL Rivian Factory PPF Q&A -- by XPEL

I am preparing to take the R1T in for the front end PPF and a full ceramic coat. However, I received confirmation from my installer today that the $1500 Rivian package is 5 year (versus 10 year) warranty (which I knew) but also it includes no wrapped edges. To my understanding, it should include...
  9. Electrify America - Redesigned labels coming to charging stations

I certainly think I am in the minority here but I have had excellent luck with the EA 350s. Really respectable charging curve, working chargers, and little to no issues. The station I use near my home is one of the newer ones installed so perhaps they are working hard on their reliability and...
  10. Tailgate not popping open with button

Got my truck last week. Same issue. Tailgate worked fine for about 3 days, now I have to pry it open when by hand after hitting the release button. My tailgate cables are also uneven so when the tailgate is down all the weight is on one cable.
  11. LA SILVER Rivian Photos

Picked up my LA Silver w/20 inch dark ATs today at the center in Brooklyn. Originally had El Cap and bright 20s selected but swapped into this configuration through the R1 shop. Gotta say, the dark 20s look AWESOME with the silver. They are significantly more glossy than photos make them look...
  12. “Critical battery issue”

This forum has been dormant for a while. However, I took delivery today in Brooklyn. Drive about 200 miles home including stops and a charge. Everything worked great! Got home and it said “drives modes were unavailable, call Rivian Service”. Moments later, I got the dreaded “Critical Battery...
  13. First look at @ “Introducing the R1 Shop” -- Rivian website to shop for R1T that delivers in 6-8 weeks

I was originally a Sep-Oct delivery window. Changed my config from 20s to 21s in late June and was assigned a guide 4 days later. Told my guide (Trevor, who is awesome) I was open to many configurations and preferred the 20s. Was granted shop access and fortunately was in the right place at...
