Someone covered this on a different thread last week. The 115H were the originals; now they've been upped to 116H but are basically the same tire. Roughly speaking, deliveries before mid-December had the 115H; new ones being delivered now and forward will have the 116H.
I don't know this...
This is what my guide told me as well (except for being specific about March -- based on my current OC config, it could be a while). They do have a list if you're flexible. And my question for the guide was whether I could confirm factory delivery; he said sure, and added that to my...
Thank you!
I think I gave the wrong answer, then. I passed on an LE in Nashville that was almost my exact config, but with 22 darks, as I didn't want to pay $2500 to go from Adventure to LE, plus $3500 for the wheels. But if the $2500 to go to LE gets me 22 brights anyway (what I want), and...
Wait, I've forgotten what the wheel upgrade was. I thought the only difference was priority delivery, the option of Launch Green (which I don't like), and perforated seats.
If there are better wheels too, I may have miscalculated in saying no to one of the other vehicles offered today.
I suspect there is some variability and discretion. He mentioned that that message had gone out, and that guides weren't supposed to be doing it for people, though many were trying. But this was after I'd opened by gently and cheerfully guilting him about having placed my order on Day 2, and...
When I logged on to confirm, I had a question, and there was a new option to contact my guide. I clicked that last Thursday or Friday, and was able to schedule a call with my guide for Monday (today).
The guide called at exactly the appointed time, and was thorough with the information...
I GOT A GUIDE!!
Finally, after 4 years, 1.5 months.
Locked my config (still Adventure, still OC, which is holding me back). But as a Nov. 2018 holder, he said he could bump me up to LE if I want, and he scanned the list of currently-available LEs (already built, that others had backed out of)...
Spoke to my guide today. (I got a guide! Finally!) He didn't have an estimate for me yet, but said it will be coming with the January update.
He did read to me from a list of LE's that are currently available at various locations--builds that people backed out of. None of them hit the spot...
OK, this thread has convinced me to abandon the 21's to be able to do the summer/winter swap.
With that decision made, any opinions on whether I should go with 20's or 22's? I'm a suburban family commuter, not an offroad enthusiast. My priorities, after safety, are mileage and a quiet ride.
I went with a Clipper Creek charger from Enphase and am very happy.
But even if you don't go with their charger, you should still look at their "find an installer" link. It's not limited to installers affiliated with Enphase -- it's a list of electricians in your area who have experience...
My guess is the Michelin Defender is rated for longer wear, made out of a harder compound with a higher rolling resistance.
That's just a guess, though, based on years-past experience with other Michelins on hybrid sedans. I haven't specifically looked at the Defender model that fits the R1S.
In a fit of impatience, I changed my "where would you like to take delivery" address to Normal, IL. Which is true -- that's really where I'd like to pick it up.
Have I risked the pique of Rivian? Advanced my chances any? Or (most likely, I suppose) made no difference at all, like speaking...
