I have a 1up rack, and I am going to get one of them pool noodles from the dollar store and put it on the part that would hit the hatch. I live in terror that I will forget its on there and accidentally push the hatch open button on my current SUV. I've seen black noodles on occasion, so...

On that one picture showing the rack in stored position the hatch looks like it has a giant gap with the bumper cover? Is that just a trick of the picture, or was it that huge?

Ha! Thanks for the kind replies all. I was actually thinking more of a general communication on Rivian itself rather than updates on the R2 specifically. But, I understand the overall point. They are concentrating on getting their business going, which I am glad for and wishing them...

I made a R2 reservation the day after the intro, and received that 1 email. But nothing since then. Has anyone else heard from Rivian? Seems like they would have a monthly company email or something just to keep us engaged. Just curious. Michael
