I wouldn't consider it a waste of money. If Rivian can focus the RAN buildout in more remote places, that'll really help enjoy this vehicle even more and unlock more adventures. I frequently use my R1T for what it was built for and I'm usually stuck with slow DCFC (62kw) or L2 while out there

Great news! I hope this allows them to focus the RAN buildout in more remote places that don't have existing chargers (NACS or CCS). That has been my main concern so far when adventuring.

Appreciate your thoughts but I’m not sure it’s useful to compare a midsize SUV with a Ford Raptor. They are in 2 completely different classes. Who would cross shop these 2? A better and more useful comparison with the Raptor would be a Hummer EV IMO.

Selling 3 20" AT Brights. $1035 per tire (selling at cost). I'm open to selling them individually or all together. Tires have about 500 miles on them. In-person pickup in metro Atlanta. I'm also willing to drive up to 100 miles outside of Atlanta if needed.

I can empathize with your concerns OP and I share many of them (especially the nav, locking, and truck not detecting the key to drive off). But I've seen them more as annoyances than deal breakers and I've enjoyed the truck in so many other ways. Hopefully Rivian will get to fixing the SW...

Ah yep, that was most certainly mine behind yours. I also had my pickup at 9:30 and did a solo tour at 9. I recall seeing your R1S as I walked into the delivery center but it was gone by the time I had finished signing papers and hopped into the driver's seat, IIRC. Really liking your config btw...

I also picked up my R1T on 1/26 at the factory in the morning. I did see 2 Launch Green R1S in the delivery center when I got there so wondering if one of them was yours. One of them was actively being picked up by the owner when I arrived so we may have briefly crossed paths if that was you...

I got access today as well and ended finding a configuration that was pretty close. The only difference was that it had the 20" AT Darks (I had brights configured, but planned to add the Black vinyl on it anyway) and no manual cover (but still has the rails so I can buy that later). Needless to...
