  1. Upcoming Competition: 2024 Tacoma Pickup Design Leaked 📸

Certainly don't want you think I was trying to knock what you brought up, but to me I think 250+ mi range would be sufficient for what a lot of Tacoma owners would need (myself included). I'd be hauling a trailer every now and then, but for short distances. I'd also be using the bed for lumber...
  2. Upcoming Competition: 2024 Tacoma Pickup Design Leaked 📸

That'll be just fine for me. I don't need it to be a road trip truck but it'll do some good for the local hauling i need to do and a number of trips. It'll certainly keep the weight down if they can avoid a huge battery.
  3. Smoking Tire Rivian R1T (w/ 22" Wheels) Review: You Should Definitely Buy One Even at New Price

Yeah, I was more looking at just manufacturing and assembly alone and not mining for materials (lithium, oil, etc.). Most mining operations for lithium, etc. is done via strip or surface mining and that's very damaging to the environment. Oil extraction is less intrusive. Ultimately where to...
  4. Smoking Tire Rivian R1T (w/ 22" Wheels) Review: You Should Definitely Buy One Even at New Price

Yeah, I just know that from some of the work I do in the automotive industry and from what you can watch on TV (ie. how it's made), water is used everywhere in manufacturing parts, the paint booth, etc. I saw a presentation regarding water balances and noted that it's much higher to produce the...
  5. Smoking Tire Rivian R1T (w/ 22" Wheels) Review: You Should Definitely Buy One Even at New Price

Not only that, but water that is required to build the vehicle (paint booth, battery pack development, mining of rare earth metals, battery disposal)? EVs are about 55% more water intensive over their life so I'd be curious if they would be willing to share that info.
  6. "day one" of "not a good day" for $RIVN

Yeah, I continually make my profits on TSLA stocks to help cover the cost of my next vehicle.
  7. "day one" of "not a good day" for $RIVN

I'm over $100 positive! Hopefully it gets back up to $100/share as long as that class action suit doesn't ruin things.
  8. "day one" of "not a good day" for $RIVN

Good day for RIVN, up over 16%.
  9. "day one" of "not a good day" for $RIVN

I've got enough of those under $40 shares to mostly offset the few higher shares I have. I'll be up that camp kitchen if the shares get up to my highest share price.
  10. "day one" of "not a good day" for $RIVN

Doing better now and back up to about $45. Glad I got in some low shares.
  11. What Would You Like To See From Our Rivian Test? - Out of Spec

I'd like to see a range test not using the climate control to see how much gain in range there would be.
  12. R1T & R1S Updated Pricing, Configuration, Specs. Dual Motor Now Available

Yeah, you gotta look at volume, shares outstanding, etc. Ford's got 4x the shares outstanding (4 billion to 900 million shares for Rivian). Ford also offers a pretty good dividend as well (most recent was $0.10 per share).
  13. "day one" of "not a good day" for $RIVN

Just leave the emotion out of it and buy shares each week to build up a nice portfolio of shares and in 6 or 7 years take the massive profits and buy a R1T!
  14. R1T & R1S Updated Pricing, Configuration, Specs. Dual Motor Now Available

Yeah, I check in on the stock each day and I'll get 5 shares here and there to build the portfolio. Do that across a few years and hopefully I'll see enough profit to cash in on a new R1T.
  15. R1T & R1S Updated Pricing, Configuration, Specs. Dual Motor Now Available

Frankly, I'm going to continue to invest in RIVN stock and when it gets back up there, I'll have enough buy a Rivian in 6 or 7 years when I'm ready for one.
  16. Kia EV6 Early Deliveries underway

Yeah, I'm not too keen on those warranty estimates. I've seen a number of great products out there that barely lasted a year. Best to have sacrificial coatings done at home after every wash to make sure you get that 3-5 years.
  17. Kia EV6 Early Deliveries underway

That's not a bad price. Plus, you'll be able to wash it and apply sacrificial coatings to protect that main coating. Certainly not a bad option outside of doing PPF everywhere, but worth the investment to do ceramic.
  18. R1T & R1S Updated Pricing, Configuration, Specs. Dual Motor Now Available

Yeah, I'll definitely get MSRP or under that when I buy. I don't fall for their BS and their other fees they try to hit you with. I also play the game with financing planning to finance the entire way, then say that I have financing set up elsewhere, write them a check for the car, then leave.
  19. R1T & R1S Updated Pricing, Configuration, Specs. Dual Motor Now Available

My thoughts exactly. Hoping the Genesis version is a good price for the added luxury and hopefully less of an issue with those dealers. I would definitely sell my car private party to avoid trade-in issues.
  20. R1T & R1S Updated Pricing, Configuration, Specs. Dual Motor Now Available

Kia's EV6 is looking nicer each day. I just saw they finally have a configurator on their site and the EV6 Wind AWD is a better deal than the Hyundai Ioniq 5 SEL. Slightly more $ for the Kia, but the features make up for the cost. I'm really curious to see what pricing and features the...
