Cybertruck Highway Range Test by Out Of Spec

Yep, that's me. I attribute a little lower efficiency due to a lower wheel offset. Tires track much wider than stock. Like I said, I don't think 2.01 miles/kwr is all that bad for the CT, compared to a smaller, narrower R1T.

California For Sale 21" Road Wheels

Hi all, I have a set of 4 21" road wheels with about 20k miles on them. Two tires could probably be used as spares, but the fronts are completely bald. I have the aero covers as well. Asking $250/wheel, I'm in Northern California, just north of Sacramento. Thanks!

🚨 Rivian Adopts Tesla NACS Standard! (Adapters in 2024, Standard Charging Port in 2025)

I'm not. Exciting to see this finally moving forward. Granted it will be a little messy, but no one can scale new Supercharger locations faster than Tesla..

🚨 Rivian Adopts Tesla NACS Standard! (Adapters in 2024, Standard Charging Port in 2025)

Would be worth it to me for peace of mind Perhaps OEMs will eat a percentage on the backend, rather than the consumer. That way end consumer doesn't feel burned, but the OEM pays fair share to have access to better and more reliable network for thier customers. Tesla would look better as well...

First Tesla Supercharger with "Magic Dock" CCS adapter successfully charged a R1T. This is fantastic!

Wow, This thread is full of poorly aging NACS comments. Hopefully Rivian comes around.... they certainly should as they don't have the capital to build thier own network. They can still put chargers with thier brand at cool remote adventure areas, just as planned.

Anyone notice strange results towing after the latest software update?

This is pretty ridiculous.. At the very least tow mode shouldn't read TWICE the range of conserve mode.. This happened to me today and actually almost really screwed me because I didn't realize that it was 4x off my range and didn't pay attention to my battery percentage and do napkin math, that...

Interesting observation on Tesla Supercharger installation vs. the others (EA, CP, EVGo, etc.)

He might be exagerating a bit, but if you take 2 minutes to check out the I5 corridor in CA, multiple spots have 60- 90+ stalls within throwing distance of each other. which is unbelievable, really. When people say EA is catching up I chuckle. Www.supercharge.info

Interesting observation on Tesla Supercharger installation vs. the others (EA, CP, EVGo, etc.)

Unless your Tesla and can trickle charge your onsite batteries to not get hit with demand charges. It was stated upthread, but Freewire does this too, I almost bought one for our fleet but still a little to pricey for a single unit.. Tesla has massive economy of scale.

Something tells me 100x the rate at which RAN network expands. I've yet to be able to use one :(

Anyone notice strange results towing after the latest software update?

No Bueno. Thanks for the tip though. I tow at least once a week so next time I'll check. For the most part, I've always found the estimator pretty good except for the old days when the estimated miles was drastically different from the nav while towing, it was eventually corrected. Better than...

First Tesla Supercharger with "Magic Dock" CCS adapter successfully charged a R1T. This is fantastic!

Because the NACS has the most ports in circulation (on an entire continent) :), isn't cumbersome, and just looks better 😉 . Are you suggesting the CCS is better because "everyone" else chose it or because its better?

First Tesla Supercharger with "Magic Dock" CCS adapter successfully charged a R1T. This is fantastic!

Ford might want to rethink thier charge port location.. Luckily Rivian put the charge port just forward enough. At about 12 minutes in you can see him try and stretch the cord to charge..

Rivian just needs to flop charging sides and go to NACS (Tesla). That way you can still head in park. They are only guiding to 50k units this year.. might as well switch now!

Limited regen after new s/w update?

Not looking forward to towing my boat from 5000' to 100 in 25 miles this summer.. ~4% average grade and I was already using a lot of manual braking due to low regen availability.. this seems silly..

First Tesla Supercharger with "Magic Dock" CCS adapter successfully charged a R1T. This is fantastic!

It's pretty short. I'm 90% sure I would have to block a SuC to charge my R1t. This will be the toughest part I think. Hopefully the smart placement of the chargers at low usage areas will minimize the conflicts that would most certainly happen at busy Supercharger locations.

First Tesla Supercharger with "Magic Dock" CCS adapter successfully charged a R1T. This is fantastic!

Completely agree. Weirdly enough, the Tesla forums have been somewhat supportive of the inclusion, even with the possibility there "could" be a reduction in access for Tesla users. I believe the initial rollout will be at underutilized locations, expanding to new SuC locations by way of the Tax...

First Tesla Supercharger with "Magic Dock" CCS adapter successfully charged a R1T. This is fantastic!

All 8 of 8 Suc are CCS compatible at the new Placerville location. Im npt say thats the norm but a good start. Hwy 50 is a highly traveled route to Tahoe and CCS charging is limited so its nice to see they are adding on in locations that make sense.

First Tesla Supercharger with "Magic Dock" CCS adapter successfully charged a R1T. This is fantastic!

Your in for a treat. Opening Tesla SC to non Teslas will only highlight just how much better Tesla has thought about the "big picture" when it comes to driving an EV as a primary vehicle, and obviously has come up with a very elegant solution. I'm excited, I could care less what Tesla charges...

Show off your Level 2 Home Charger installs here

Model X charges in middle bay and I back the r1t in, which actually makes it easier to get in and out of the truck since it's the far bay. Leviton with Tesla Gen 2 works flawlessly, and allows my Model X to max charge at 72amps. I do charge 97% of the time at work though..
