It's not really a "Launch Edition" if there is a second, revised version of it with a different set of capabilities versus let's say making an under-the-hood technical fix if they identify a fault with some component.
I therefore agree with others that it is unlikely.
I really like Forest Green, itās a true green and you donāt see that often as a choice. Launch Green looks great too, not sure which Iād prefer on an R2.
Yes I think Borealis is beautiful, Iād just be worried I get it and then change my mind after some time, but I get stuck since cars canāt be changed so easily. Happened with my iPhone choice last year, you can guess which color I had bought š
I do have one of those unlimited car wash subscriptions. My current car is a red Mach-E, it gets this layer of yellow pollen after a couple of days outside. Particularly in the Spring with the overnight dew, it looks very messy very quickly.
I was thinking of Borealis for the R2, Iāve never had...
Itās definitely harder to be smooth at one pedal driving. I even once met a Tesla owner who had had his car for over a year and had no idea that depressing his accelerator like 15% would result in coasting and he should do that instead of fully lifting off. I told him to try it, Iām not sure he...
Maybe this is a little bit of an odd question, but which R2 colors do people think look best when the vehicle is a little bit dirty?
While I plan to be good about washing the R2 if I buy, it will likely be parked outdoors for most of its life, so it will often look less than pristine. Which...
Really? Hmm then I am at a loss why they wouldnāt enable the option. Like locking an adaptive suspension to a firm or soft setting instead of giving drivers a choice.
This is only true if the vehicle doesnāt have blended braking. On vehicles like the Mach-E, hitting the brake pedal first (assuming you have OPD off) triggers motor regen it doesnāt activate the physical brakes at all. As a result, you can use motor regen for slowing down just as well as when...
It comes down to wanting to maximize the EPA range. If there was a way to disable, the EPA could/would factor it in their range tests and since Rivian did not create a brake system that is capable of blended braking, using the brake pedal means regen would not be happening resulting is more...
I own a 2021 Mustang Mach-E and was able to test drive an R2 yesterday. Here are some thoughts.
-The R2 was much faster, but I only own a standard range AWD Mach-E which for 2021 has 266 horsepower so huge jump in power and was really enjoyable for that reason alone.
-Really loved the way the...
Can people who have driven the R2 talk a bit about its driving dynamics? A lot of the reviews I am seeing posted focus a lot on the non-driving aspects of the R2 like the infotainment, charging, etc.
What vehicle would you compare the R2 too in terms of how it drives? How sporty (or not) would...
