The original Audi Allroad had air suspension that was plagued w issues like all air suspension seems to have. Eventually a manually adjustable coilover kit came out which I hope is the case for the R1s. The fly in the ointment is the incredible amount of complexity that a software driven car...
The OP has some harsh truths about owning a Rivian and this is the biggest case to have some extended warranty to hedge ownership cost in the long run. However, reading through the collective responses seem to be hopeful in that the OP seems to have more problems than most. An undeniable theme...
They told me I would be eligible if Rivian Care became available in Cali. The information they are providing doesn't seem consistent. I purchased the 10 year/10,000 mile warranty from XCARE. I figured I can always cancel XCARE if Rivian Care becomes available. If not, either way I'm covered...
Just pulled th
Endurance does not list Rivian as a vehicle they cover in their drop down menu- maybe if you call them they do. However with that said, when I signed up for XCARE, Endurance is listed as an administrator with their payment plan. So perhaps XCARE has the lock with coverage...
I have the defender LTX and I love how quiet they are over the AT Scorpions which are noisy as hell. They are wearing very evenly front/rear but don't expect any efficiency gain. I'm pulling 2.3 miles per kWh on mixed driving w a 22 R1T Quad. on 20" rims.
$16 dollars worth of weather stripping to prevent wind noise. Seriously, it has transformed my driving experience dramatically from an embarrassingly loud cabin experience on the freeway to a what I would expect from a premium car like Rivian. I'm so excited to drive in it now.
Another thumbs up for this thread! I did the inner window fix (without the T seal) and that solved about 90% of the noise issues I'm having. I will try the vertical rubber seal on the front window next.
Great thread on Xcare. It's high on my list. I called them and spoke to one of their main guys named Cary. Extremely knowledgeable about Rivians and how third party warranties work with Rivian.
I'm looking at $0 or $100 deductible for the nominal price differences, what say you guys?
