  1. Range Discrepancy - Driver Display vs. Navigation

I agree. Even driving in cold temps if I simply do the math in my head - range minus miles to destination - that is way more accurate than the trip calculator. Last few winter trips (even some uphill) miles at destination were not more than 10 miles off that simple in-my-head math calculation...
  2. LIMESTONE R1T Photos

Iā€™m with you. I had a CG bronco configured at one point and liked the color. I also really liked the limestone in the configurator but not the actual shade - itā€™s too light for me. Iā€™m on forest green for an R1S currently.
  3. Adventure vs Explore R1S

So Iā€™ve been on the fence about this too but after the retracted price increase I feel like I canā€™t not take advantage of adventure now. Donā€™t really NEED anything in the package, but Iā€™m not sure the monthly difference in price for low 70ā€™s v. High 70ā€™s is worth not having the niceties of...
  4. Oh, What a Deal

The only thing I'm changing as of now is going Adventure from Explore - other than changing color (no price difference) from limestone to forest green - limestone in real life is not what the configurator shows or the initial photo-shopped color reveal showed.
  5. Any 2021 R1S reservations in the house?

I'm may 2021. Started out R1T but by the time i got the delivery window I was R1S. First half 2023.
  6. FOREST GREEN R1T Photos

Samesies re: limestone and getting more interested in FG, but I'm liking the OC combo with it as I think it will be a great contrast. Of course none of us know what Limestone actually looks like on a Rivian so until we do, it's kind of hard to assess (I've yet to even see one of these in person...
  7. Real Rivian Photos & Videos

I've been thinking the same thing lately. Especially with the Black AT's and fact that I'm going ocean coast interior.
  8. So hard R1T or R1S?

I ordered the R1T originally. At that point I was just looking to save a few grand and didn't think we needed another 3 row SUV (my wife drives a CX-9), but then I realized that I'm going to want to take the Rivian on our road trips and the SUV just seems more functional for, e.g., family ski...
  9. Official: Rivian IPO priced at $78 per share (@ $77 billion valuation)!

That is a smart move my friend - I think buying the dip is the way to go here
  10. 180 R1T produced / 156 R1T delivered as of Oct 31 -- per Updated Rivian S1 [11/1]

I was originally in on the IPO but I think the price will drop at some point over the next 6-12 months (or more likely sooner) and we'll be able to buy these shares at quite a discount. Obviously can't say for sure but I'd imagine it is likely. This higher per share price only sealed the deal...
  11. Updates on Rivian production ramp from 3rd S-1 amendment [filed 11/5]

I am an early May 2021 ressie holder too. It's crazy just a few months ago folks we're being told 2Q or 3Q was feasible with slightly earlier reservations than ours. I never thought that was necessarily likely but I did think Q4 2022 was a possibility. I think your right though that 2022...
  12. Brooklyn Rivian Service Center Sighting

I was thinking the same thing!
  13. Brooklyn Rivian Service Center Sighting

So Iā€™m cruising into Uber-hipster East Williamsburg from Long Island with the family today (for a little Robertaā€™s) en route to Dumbo and my wife spotted this freshly painted Rivian building. This is not the Wyeth Ave showroom location in Williamsburg but I believe what is going to be the...
  14. Overlanding / Adventuring / Camping - R1T vs Bronco

LOL. Yeah, I'd rather have realistic expectations and be surprised with earlier delivery than get my hopes up and be let down. I'm in no rush - I have a paid-off outback so not itching for that new payment.
  15. Overlanding / Adventuring / Camping - R1T vs Bronco

I just put my Rivian deposit down a little over a week ago and cancelled my Bronco reservation a few days later. I think I actually learned about Rivian on the Bronco forum. While I really wasn't in the market for a $70K+ truck (or any truck for that matter) - a $40-45K 2-door Bronco was...
