  1. Software Update 2023.42.0 is out (āš ļø UPDATE: OTA fix rolling out today 11/15/23)

This is my third electric vehicle (all since 2021 onward) and each of them have had some kind of bug for a period of time. For me, the vehicle is drive-able. I have a speedometer, gear selector, battery charge indicator and wiper control. Those are the big things. My Ford MME has been...
  2. EV Sportline R1S Sliders are installed photos & feedback

I should get mine by the end of the year. I'm going to try the home install first. I am a little disappointed by its length. Get your mind out of the gutter, y'all!
  3. Cargo Liner - Any recommendations?

Did you need to use adhesive to get that on there? I've been going back and forth and we really loved the canvasback liner we had in our Q5 back when we have dogs. We don't have dogs anymore, but kids. But, will have pups in the future. But, I don't like the fact that you need to apply...
  4. Side steps, running boards or anything else to help short people

Please verify your own state laws as well as seek your own legal counsel. None of the following should be construed as legal advice. I do not believe a modification Iike this one with proper installation would void the warranty unless the installation or the part caused or led to the failure...
  5. Side steps, running boards or anything else to help short people

I talked to a good shop here (Gulf Coast Auto Shield) that does PPF, ceramic and other auto-related things. They said they would install. I still would like to see what real owners actually have. Iā€™m not seeing real owners with anything yet.
  6. Side steps, running boards or anything else to help short people

The problem is that the wheelbase is different for the two and thatā€™s why Iā€™m looking for pictures from actual R1S owners to see what my options are. Plus, I am not handy so I would either screw-up three or four times before getting it right or would need to get this installed by someone.
  7. Side steps, running boards or anything else to help short people

For those actual R1S owners, how many have installed any kind of assist device to help shorties hop into the SUV. My wife and my mom are both vertically challenged. My kids are spry so probably will not mind jumping into the back. If you have installed anything, please post some pictures. TIA.
  8. Solid reason for a cargo matt or liner - already broke a piece of the R1S

So, on the other forum, there was a discussion about this as someone is making one that will cover the back area and the drop-down portion of the tailgate. It will still not cover the back of the third row. However, it probably would have prevented the damage from the original poster...
  9. R1S Shop access live with lots of inventory!

I am not meaning to hijack this post. It is related to the topic. For those who made use of the shop to purchase there R1S, how much time was granted to you to work out a trade-in and also financing?
  10. ? R1T Red Alert: First Retail "Sellable R1T" - First Look Video!

I do like that blue color. My specs on the R1S have gone from black to blue to red to yellow to black to blue. I need to see these colors in person. Luckily, my delivery is only late 2022 or early 2023 I assume. So, I have some time. But, it is exciting. I donā€™t care if it is 1 or 100...
  11. Mach-E placeholder for R1S

Hi. Thanks for asking. I love it. Iā€™m happy with the purchase and no buyerā€™s remorse other than I shouldā€™ve gotten $1k more on my trade-in, which is not a big deal in the grand scheme of things. I posted this on the Mach-E forum the other day. Iā€™ve had it for a week and 500 miles. My main...
  12. Mach-E placeholder for R1S

I did not try electrify America Thatā€™s a great color!
  13. Mach-E placeholder for R1S

So, I took the plunge and got my first EV yesterday - the Mach-E Premium AWD. I got this as a placeholder for the R1S although if I love it, I will end up canceling. My issues for a newbie EV owner include range anxiety and the inability of the Ford Pass App to connect to EVgo only to realize...
  14. Lead foot driving

This is helpful. I have deposits on both the R1S and the X. The X ends up being about $10k more expensive. I'm a late reservation holder for the R1S (4/2021). So, by the time my turn comes around, maybe Q3 of 2022, the max pack will be available for the R1S. Basically, with the max pack...
  15. Lead foot driving

So, I've heard of hypermiling. One question - TX roads are horrible and there is so much windshield damage here because of a variety of things including these big trucks. How much windshield damage do you expect when doing that? For reference purposes, State Farm used to cover windshield...
  16. Lead foot driving

As someone who has never owned an EV before, I realize that I had not considered my driving habits when thinking about the large v max pack. How much range would one lose if he/she averaged 75-80 on the Highway? Iā€™m not as concerned about my daily commute as Iā€™ll be plugging in every night...
  17. Rivian will share details on R1T interior next week

For me, this is a big, ā€œWho cares?ā€
  18. Rivian Guide Contacted Finally! (For Real) ?

The other thing too is that a lot of car manufacturers are on delay without much information. For instance, I put down a deposit on a Model X and I keep getting pushed with no information. Of course, it says delivery is expected in January now but I am not holding my breath. As a person who...
  19. Good quick look at Ocean Coast interior - in R1S

That puke green color probably reminds someone of their boat fabric.
  20. Class/Category of R1S

So, I had a LR DIsco Sport and moved up to the Porsche Cayenne because I wanted something bigger. I am moving up to the R1S or the Model X because I want 3rd row seats. Plus, the images make it look very Land Rover-esque - more boxy than curvy. It should be significantly longer than a Velar...
