Warning: do not ice up your wheel wells
I've had plenty of that build up, too, without issue. I'm guessing it was only a problem for me because I sprayed water inside the wheel wells, which must have gone deeper than typical spray and splash would go.- Phrogz

I realize now that lots of experiences I had before getting it fixed were documented in the Rivian app, but not here. I got this fixed by Service replacing some/all of the door mechanism. When I took it in the first time they looked at it, tried "lubricating" some parts, and the problem reoccurred repeatedly. KO3 tires installed on Rivian R1T!
Tire pressure is definitely a factor (though not the only one). Running the Toyo's at 62psi is significantly better than 42psi. There is still some "springiness" when changing lanes. Tailgate sensor failing; anyone know where it is, or how to workaround it?
Fix took under an hour. He said he replaced the sensor on the right side of the tailgate, and did not replace the left side because it's not throwing any codes...at this time. I asked if this is a common issue, and he confirmed that yes, the tailgate sensors failing is a known problem.- Phrogz

Replacing AT tires w/ after market
I did think that, but I've now pushed the inflation from ~45 psi up to ~65psi, and they feel significantly better. Still not quite what my memory was of the stock tires, but much better. -
Tailgate sensor failing; anyone know where it is, or how to workaround it?
A few weeks ago I closed my tailgate bed and the truck reported it wasn't closed. After a few open/hard closings it finally registered as closed.
