  1. Georgia Rivian plant

Took the family to Hard Labor Creek State Park in Georgia today. It is ~60 miles each way from our house in Atlanta. We averaged about 2 m/kw on 50:50 All-Purpose and Conserve. Drove about 80mph on the highway and roughly speed limit on country roads. The reason I wanted to post was that it...
  2. Locked out! Neither phone as a key nor key card worked.

Hello everyone, I'm currently locked out of my truck at work. Neither phone as a key nor key card worked. After an hour, support is basically out of ideas except that it may be stuck in a sleep cycle? Apparenlty that takes ~30 min to fix. Gear guard is still working (I can see the guy on the...
  3. Earliest R1T preorder without a VIN

I'm curious as to who is the earliest (/ unluckiest) R1T preorder holder to not yet have a VIN. Caveats are that you have to be a US reservation with a currently in production spec: R1T adventure, large pack, Powered tonneau. I'm 8/2020. Any 2019 folks left that fit the bill?
  4. Reinforced Underbody Shield

I know many of you have automotive contacts I do not. So I thought I'd ask if anyone is aware of a company looking to manufacture aftermarket underbody shields?
  5. Late 2021 preorder deliveries

First, congrats to everyone who gets a truck. My musings have to do with Rivian, not y'all. Now to the meat: Why are people who preordered in 11/21 already getting VINs? Some background: It was estimated by this forum a while back the preorder split was 60:40 R1T:R1S based on user submissions...
  6. Test Drive

I posted elsewhere about my random stop-in at the Atlanta Service Center yesterday (6/13), but I have follow-up more applicable to the general enthusiast public. Here is my original post: https://www.rivianforums.com/forum/threads/atlanta-service-center-experience.6151/ TLDR: I dropped by just...
  7. Atlanta Service Center Experience

Just stopped by the Atlanta Service Center and wanted to share my overall good experience. Rolled up around 2p after having driven 4 hrs+ back from Savannah with my wide and youngest (of three). We needed to stop and at least SEE one truck before I purchased one. The team inside was very...
  8. CFO Confirms 15K R1T / R1S to be Produced in 2022

I know we all suspected, but CFO officially confirmed in a Bloomberg article only 15k R1T/Ss getting built this year and 10k Amazon trucks. Relevant passage: "Rivian plans to deliver 10,000 vans to the e-commerce giant this year, McDonough confirmed, while building 25,000 vehicles overall."...
  9. Laura Schwab Lawsuit Text - It all came true!

Not sure if this is somewhere else given the explosion of conversation over the last 16 hours, but here is an excerpt from the Laura Schwab lawsuit. This looks EXTREMELY bad for Rivian from a investor lawsuit standpoint. Also, pretty much every prediction she made came true. 28. First, it was...
  10. Changing your order to try and speed delivery

I know a lot of people have questions regarding changing their order to try and improve delivery. FWIW this is the response I got when I asked CS about it. Mostly canned response, and not helpful (surprise!). They do claim the delivery estimator will update as you change your order, but not in...
  11. Future Volvo XC90

Electric XC90 Apparently Volvo's successor to the XC90 is going to be all electric (we already new this) with LIDAR standard. The wife drives a 4 yr old XC90 now and loves it. Depending on pricing, availability, etc this will give us HUGE pause on proceeding with our R1S reservation. If I can't...
  12. Service Center Locations

Looks like Rivian just bought some property for their Boston service center. https://chelsearecord.com/2021/05/20/electric-vehicle-company-locates-major-facility-off-eastern-avenue/
