  1. Close Cross-Traffic Alert banner across camera view while towing?

Is there a way to dismiss, minimize or close the warning banners across the top of the rear camera views while towing? The banner warns that cross-traffic alert is disabled, which makes sense, but when I'm towing forward that is a useless message that just blocks the top of the view.
  2. Bluetooth interference

My first R1 (2025 Gen2) had this issue, and it'd happen a LOT. I never thought about it being location specific, though. Interesting point. We just traded up for a max pack last month, and I've predominantly been using Spotify. I'll listen to some more bluetooth audio this weekend to see if...
  3. 22" Scorpion tires are so fragile

I just traded a 2025 Dual Large R1T with 20,000 miles for a 2026 Dual Max R1T. The stock 22" Scorpions had 4/32 at trade in, original set. Never had an issue at all. They were quiet, tracked well, and my efficiency averages didn't waiver in any material way over the year of ownership. And...
  4. Regional issue affecting sensors?

You’re all tracking with my core fear…suited men showing up at my front door with questions.
  5. Regional issue affecting sensors?

So here’s a fun mystery. I’ve had a couple recent northern Iowa trips up and down I-35. These trips both were separated by roughly two months. When going southbound between Clear Lake and Latimer exits, I’ll get an error on the driver display indicating my rear ultrasonic sensors are not...
  6. šŸ‘‹Vote for August's RWCev ROTM HERE!!

Ok, just got the package in the mail. This was super cool! More items than I expected and all very nicely done!!! Thank you very much!
  7. Beware Safelite windshield repair

Curious - though I don't have personal experience with this, there was a lot of web chatter about Safelite adding unnecessary charges for Teslas for ADAS calibration (or something along those lines) after windshield replacement. Did you see anything on your invoice that looked like it might...
  8. Is there a Gen2 owner who is not happy with sounds coming from the bottom of the vehicle? As if something is loose.

Your thread title says "sounds" but your description says "feels". It would be good to clarify if you're hearing things that concern you or feeling things that concern you. Our Gen2 does have some minor suspension noise, and I'd describe the sound almost like that of a loose or rattling...
  9. Is everyone having A/C problems with the new update?

Gen 2 R1T DMP here. A/C isn't noticeably different, but I don't think I've stressed the system very much. Like others noted, the ventilated seats don't seem as cool/cold as they have been in the past, and they do default to the heated seat option when I press the seat icon.
  10. šŸ“øPost Your August Rivian Photos Here! (RWCev ROTM Giveaway Contest!)

This is still my favorite picture. The front of the truck is very distinct, but I have always loved the rear 3/4 shot more than any other. You get the body lines, the attractive lightbar, the Rivian logo across the back. Aside from a direct rear angle, to me it's one of the more muscular...
  11. Pushed the limit too far today towing long distance

We actually did try the manual precondition option and it wouldn’t allow it. I can’t recall the exact message it gave us but it was not going to let it happen. As you mentioned this though I do wonder if the camp mode would have done anything different. Hope I never have to find out, but in...
  12. Pushed the limit too far today towing long distance

Given the ambient temps that would make sense, though we did park on an off-ramp, turned off the hvac and let it sleep (to see if doing zero work would cool the battery) and it didn’t drop the temp at all. Your point still stands though, sounds like there’s room for improvement!
  13. Pushed the limit too far today towing long distance

Yeah the A/C was doing great. Efficiency was also normal for that boat, about .9 to 1. Something else that I remembered about yesterday was that I didn’t remember hearing the front cooling fan running. When it’s really cookin’ it is loud, but I didn’t hear that. Maybe the fan had a temporary...
  14. Pushed the limit too far today towing long distance

On the trip down, ambient temps ranged from 67-90 degrees. Coming back home, we started at 80 and drove most of the trip between 90-94 degrees. So definitely hot, but not like southwestern US hot. And yes, got a hotel for the night. Ambient temp dropped to 75, battery was 109 degrees...
  15. Pushed the limit too far today towing long distance

Had to throw the white flag today about 2/3 of the way home from a family vacation. 6.5hr/418 mile one way. tl;dr: heat soaked battery couldn’t get me home. Ambient temps were in the mid 90’s all day, and I was 2 DC charger stops in before things started to get a little odd. First issue was...

  17. Towing + Efficiency: Please post your experience!

This thread was super helpful to me before my R1T purchase, so continuing the contributions. During the summer we trailer a pontoon to a few local lakes and usually do one longer trip with the boat for a summer vacation. It’s a parachute, terrible aero. But you’re all so right that it’s a...
  18. Fixed at home: Driver door squeak

In case this is helpful for anyone, my '25 Gen2 R1T had a subtle squeak or patter noise coming from the driver's door. It wasn't quite what we'd normally describe as a rattle. At first I thought it was a misaligned door or a loose piece of trim. Nothing in the door pocket was making noise...
