Wyoming was really the only state that I had a problem in. Everywhere else I found plenty of options just off the Interstate. If you have the Tesla adapter you will even have more options. Be sure to post about your trip so we can see how you did!

7,400 is a respectable trip! When were you in Yellowstone? We might have been there at about the same time. I was in the area on 8/6 & 8/7. They really need to improve the charging stations in that area; especially in Cody.

I just have the standard battery pack that came with my R1S. I have the Quad Motor AWD model so I don't think there was an option for an extended battery pack. My max range, in econo mode, is about 330 miles.
