Totally agree that it makes sense to close if there wasn't a lot of traffic, would want to save the expense. My main concern was more about the ability of potential customers to see vehicles in person and perhaps pick up swag from the shop. If that is now happening at the Yaletown location, then...
I was just looking up the Rivian space in Vancouver as I was thinking about dropping by this weekend and noticed that it's now permanently closed? Shocking to see it closed so soon considering that it just wasn't open very long.
I wonder if Rivian is planning on opening a location somewhere...
I heard from a colleague that the BC government regulations don’t allow for the Tesla referral programs. I don’t know if this is true but it made me wonder if the Rivian referral would also be affected.
Wanted to see if anyone on the forum lives in BC and has experience with the referral program.
I'm very curious what wheel configuration was used for the EPA range tests for Gen 2 vehicles. One interesting thing I noticed on the Rivian website is that new 22 "Range" wheels have the same rated range as the 22" sport wheels.
I would love for @OutofSpecKyle to do a range comparison between...
It's unfortunate as areas such as BC really have an environment that really aligns with the "Adventure" lifestyle that Rivian is known for. Hopefully that changes before the R2 launch, as I can see that vehicle being a huge seller in Canada.
As I'm sure you are all aware, the R1T and R1S pricing in Canada is absolutely insane compared to the US, with similar configurations often costing 20%-30% more in Canada, on top of the conversion from USD to CAD.
Living in BC, where Rivian has a Canadian Offices, service centers and a Rivian...
Really curious to see how the Gen 2 R1S standard range LFP battery does in the Out of Spec range test charging seems okay but very curious to see what changes after the expected update for the charging curve.
Interesting Do you happen to have the timestamp for that part of the video? I have watched the video twice but don’t remember any mention of the infotainment computer being the same. I thought all the computer(including the infotainment) was new and much much faster. This also contributes to...
Every single Tesla owner I’ve seen uses a phone mount and an Apple or Android phone for maps, podcasts, etc. Pretty much every Rivian driver I’ve seen does the same. If these in-house, non-CarPlay systems are so great, why are customers doing this?
The advantage that CarPlay has is the...
Sadly it seems like Canadians are getting shafted when it comes to pricing. Unless you want the vehicle immediately, there is no reason you go for a 2024 model from the shop vs the 2025 as the pricing is basically the same but the 2025 has major improvements when you consider the price. I am...
I’m really having the same debate about the LFP Standard be the large pack. This range would be okay for day to day and road trips but if I want to tow anything or drive in winter ,it would be nice to have the better range. That being said, the longevity and reduced degredation of LFP vs the NCA...
I am also thinking we may see some things from the R2 included in the updated R1. It makes sense for them to developing on the new platform and testing the equipment on the lower volume models to make sure things are solid for the higher volume R2/R3 release.
With better cameras, higher compute...
