Happened to see a truck of Rivian’s parked on my way to work in South Jersey with 2 R2s on it (one Catalina was up top in the front as well, not pictured here)!
Not sure if it’s heading to Trenton or to NYC since the Turnpike is close but a fun way to start the day. Hope they’re going to...
Forgot to mention this earlier, but yeah, I was initially excited to see them innovate with the scroll wheels when the R2 was first unveiled. They sounded cool...but my initial impression was similar. Felt too loose and easy to input things incorrectly.
I also don't know if there's a strong...
Was it on your upper right side? I wonder if it's a mixture of height + how you drive. I tend to sit with a slight lean on my right side when I'm driving, likely because I primarily use my right hand to steer the wheel. The R1 seat is perfect and the prototype I sat in of the R2 felt the same...
Interesting, so it just wasn’t something off in the car I drove (or just me). I’m assuming they changed the seat to address complaints from R1 where shorter people didn’t like the split, but man, this was uncomfortable and makes me question whether I should go forward with the R2.
Went for a test drive earlier this morning at KOP. They asked that you only take 15 minutes, and as I arrived a bit late, I tried to keep to that time slot. It was tough to get a good feel for everything within the time you had, but this is the second time I explored the R2 in person after...
This excited me the most from the details shown today! I had seen a bump in earlier reviews or pics of the interior and hoped they added MagSafe in there but thank god that they did. Losing that option from my upgraded R1T setup would have been hard to swallow if I had other live with the Gen2...
Intrigued by the wireless charger - looks like they added a bump at the bottom...really hoping they add magsafe. it's just so much nicer to have your phone stay in one spot and charge as opposed to it sliding around with every bump/turn.
Did anyone with two R1s get the email this week?
My email mentioned my R1S as the impacted vehicle, but after setting up the appointment, I was told there was no recall for the R1S. I then had them check my R1T and they confirmed that it was impacted.
May just be an email template issue with...
Our Gen 2 R1S threw the 12V battery warning this morning and then failed to charge right after. Did the hard reboot and now it is charging, but the 12V warning is still present. Scheduled an appointment (also have other issues to fix), but frustrating for sure. Already had my wife's confidence...
I've had that unlock issue in our R1S as of late - had to pull out my phone multiple times in the past few days but I wasn't sure if it was the update or the iPhone 17 being the issue.
Bigger problem is that our R1S threw a camera calibration error after getting this update. We've tried the...
I had a rough start to the lease with Chase as I was part of the first wave back in December 23' and they messed up the onboarding so that I never got my account details until after they claimed I was past due for my first payment. They sorted it out and it's been ok since, but I think Rivian...
I would definitely recommend Interrobang - have had it installed for over a year now and looks OEM and is super simple to install and store, with the optional bag, in your gear tunnel. Also comes in handy when you only want to remove one panel to have something snug back there that is higher...
I'm curious as to how often Gen 2 handles have that squeak issue. I was up in Boston last year and their demo R1S had that issue. Really didn't like the new doors after that. Picking up my wife's R1S this weekend and hoping it doesn't have any major issues and that the door feels slightly better...
I still wave as well - have seen the R1S population grow over the past year here in south NJ, as well as a couple more R1T's, but it's still relatively small (less than 10 "usuals" in my neighborhood). I'd say I get a response about 60 - 70% of the time.
This was one of the things I loved about...
Looking back at this thread and it seems the VIN my wife was just assigned was likely built around June - 46xxx. How concerned should I be? My R1T was built about four months prior to my pickup and has been reliable, but this feels like a long time for the R1S to sit around...
