I wouldn't consider those comparable replacements. Maybe the GV90 though?
Also, they don't seem to be exempt from ICCU issues like the other Hyundai/Kia EVs.
Sigh. Mirrors our dual Rivian experience (repeated suspension/axle/HVAC issues, inconsistent but nice service centers, and return SC visits due to incomplete work or other damage done during service, and lots of days out of service).
Like you, I don't plan on owning either of these outside of...
Let's see -- things that have been recurring failures on our R1 pair:
Axles - multiple visits
Suspension (air and hydraulic components) - multiple visits
HVAC (leaking into cabin) - multiple visits
Fortunately have been under warranty, but there's no indication that any of these have well and...
No better, in my experience. My wife's R1S is usually unlocked in the garage, so getting into it isn't a problem, but I still have to manually switch the profile in the phone if I last used my R1T before it will move. Similarly, if I last drove the R1S and head to my R1T there's a delay before...
Yeah. Had it replaced twice on our R1S now. Though not sure if the second repair (about a month later) was because they screwed up the repair the first time. Oh well, at least got a previously-fixed dashboard rattle back as a reward!
Honestly tempted to trade my wife's R1S once the warranty runs out, but we still use the third row pretty extensively so not sure how realistic that's going to be.
Exact same setup (Dual R1S, Quad R1T, both on 20s) and feelings here. The R1T ride quality is much better (I chalk it up the extended wheelbase + the fact that the suspension seemed to have been tuned for the R1T and poorly adapted for the R1S) and handling is somehow better too (I attribute...
Since it lives in the garage and in bluetooth range, I would take a different approach -- instead of turning bluetooth on/off in the car (which I'm not 100% positive would help your situation) I would instead set the car up to turn off proximity locking when at your home location. That's what I...
Warranty expiration on my wife's R1S? :CWL:
Honestly, I wouldn't mind her driving a smaller vehicle (though, knocking on wood, this is the first one of her vehicles in a long time that hasn't had to visit a body shop), and as you mention, the trade-in value is probably going to be pretty close...
Agreed, though I'd frankly be satisfied if signing into your Google account in the YouTube app would allow me to watch YouTube TV on the center screen as well. Loved having that ability in my old Tesla -- could watch live sports while charging on road trips.
That came from this thread for folks who exported Rivians -- based on that post it looks like this is a modified tail light (there's someone out there that does the modification on them).
I realize this is old news at this point, but just wanted to say that after having these tires installed on my wife's R1S today (originally with 20" Pirelli ATs), they are the real deal. For the first time in a long time, I drove that vehicle home in buttery smooth silence.
Using the "swap...
Ha, I've been doing this for a while now and, at least for me, it always seems to work when I do that.
Glad to know there might be some actual logic/science behind it.
Apologies for bringing this back from the dead, but wanted to ask since some folks here seem to have experience with both the Rivian tailgate pad (for bikes) and the Weathertech Tonneau Cover:
Can bikes still be loaded in the bed and used with the Rivian tailgate pad with the Weathertech cover...
Has anyone in the "not compatible with your VIN range" of vehicle had any success in pushing back and getting the Powered Tonneau Cover installed?
I tried my luck on the phone but the front-line folks don't really care about the why/how -- just whether the VIN is compatible or not. Never...
Yeah, I'm not sure if it was this last update or the one before it but I really don't notice the clunk anymore. It was definitely pronounced at one point, but now back to "normal" for me.
FFS. Not even two weeks after getting it back for the repair the first time the smell is back and the carpet is wet again.
Oh and technically this will be it's third visit inside of two weeks. After the first repair was "complete" I got in, put it in gear, and got an airbag malfunction warning...
