Water in door after recent rain

I have running boards, also, and they never even mentioned them.

Water in door after recent rain

This is what service did for mine, this week. They described the water location as "rocker panels". ("Clunking" is their word. I told them I heard a dull thud, or bass drum type of sound.)

    Draining the *&@(#!*& doors

This is what service did for mine, this week: "Clunking" is their word. I told them I heard a dull thud, or bass drum type of sound.

Water Sloshing Sound - Passenger Side

EDIT: Added service invoice. This is an old thread, but I have new info from Rivian: There are also plugs in the rocker panels! I was hearing a thud, or bass drum-type sound, every time during acceleration. Service diagnosed it and wrote back with this: “So we found there was water ingress...

Powered Tonneau WILL be available as RETROFIT in 2024 (per Rivian Guide). This is HUGE!

Let us know which one you go with. I didn't find a very wide variety of options when searching last fall.

Addictive smelling wiper fluid mystery SOLVED! = Genuine Chemistry All Season Windshield Washer Fluid

Does anyone know the mixing ratio for this to be the same strength as Rivian's original? I created an account at GC, put the 4-gallon case in my cart, and it's $93.40 total (with tax and $25 shipping). I'm trying to figure out how many gallons I can get out of this, with it still being strong...

DIY Tonneau Cover - PVC Fence Planks with Bedliner Coating

Thanks! I'm still glad I tried. The planks are sealed in pretty good with the expanding foam, so while not impossible, it would be very difficult to get all eight slider pieces out of them. Adding aluminum angle or tubing in the beginning would have been smart, but it also would have raised the...

DIY Tonneau Cover - PVC Fence Planks with Bedliner Coating

Again, If you are considering making this with PVC fence planks, you may want to think again. They continue to change their shape when baking in the hot sun. I just added UPDATE #3 to my original post, due to the panel gaps widening. I would not have used these PVC planks if I had known this in...

Lvl 2 Charging Stops and Restarts Itself.

Mine, too. I use a Tesla Wall Connector with a Lectron NACS to J1772 adapter, so 6kW max. This charging session was from 65%-90%, beginning at Midnight. I’m wondering whether the truck is pausing on purpose, to let the BMS take a look at the current state of charge and do some evaluations...

DIY Tonneau Cover - PVC Fence Planks with Bedliner Coating

If you are considering making this with PVC fence planks, be sure to read UPDATE #1 and UPDATE #2, added to my original post at the top of page 1. The panels are corrugating, and I am having to deal with some sagging.

DIY Tonneau Cover - PVC Fence Planks with Bedliner Coating

Looks good, and it serves the purpose of gaining covered storage! See my updates in the original post, because you may have to deal with some sagging, longer-term.

Headrest Coat Hooks - The Tesla Model S Versions Work Well

If you don't want to scratch up the trim around the Rivian hooks on the back of your headrests, one alternative is to order these hooks for a Tesla Model S. They fit really well. I just added a pad of felt behind them, to avoid scuffing the seat back. Nice finish. Very strong. Link to product...

DIY Tonneau Cover - PVC Fence Planks with Bedliner Coating

Here are some photos of adding caulking with silicone. It was supposed to dry clear, which it mostly did, but I still see a thin white line. Maybe it's reflecting some of the white PVC color from below, where the bed liner didn't reach. Not to worry, it's hardly noticeable. One more...

DIY Tonneau Cover - PVC Fence Planks with Bedliner Coating

Just to clarify what I meant: I actually picked up the correct can (the one that prevents bulging), read it, put it back, then proceeded to buy the wrong ones! I was really kicking myself when the bulges appeared.

DIY Tonneau Cover - PVC Fence Planks with Bedliner Coating

You're welcome. I was going to buy sliders from you, planks from Home Depot or Lowes, and make your design on my own. However, as soon as our Rivian Guide told me I could get a powered version next year, I decided to make one as inexpensively as possible, and decide about the new powered one...

DIY Tonneau Cover - PVC Fence Planks with Bedliner Coating

Ouch! We live and learn. The sad thing is, this is a widely known issue, and there is a special version made just for windows and doors that avoids the whole problem. I actually read the can! I just didn't think it would happen with the full-length channels available for expansion.

DIY Tonneau Cover - PVC Fence Planks with Bedliner Coating

The more I thought about your reply, the more I realized that I don't actually know which seams are dripping when it rains. It could the the ones that are supposedly sealed with PVC cement, or it could be the non-sealed seams between panels. Therefore, I added window and door caulking with...

DIY Tonneau Cover - PVC Fence Planks with Bedliner Coating

Seriously, I don't want to make any more of them. It is extremely time-consuming, which was worth it for my own use, but I couldn't charge enough to make any profit. Your best option is to just order one of these from @Bf3: https://interrobang.store/products/tonneau-tableau-deposit It's very...
