My youtube streaming seemed a lot smoother today. Maybe just a placebo b/c of the reset.
The ability for the efficiency meter to finally go over 4 mi/kWh is welcome...
I'm wondering if this setup changed. OK fine, we lose out on third row heat... but why does it turn on the cooling vents when the heat is on for row 1 and 2? Weird behavior. Doesn't seem like it's circulating, air feels cooler than ambient.
Have had the Defenders (119 rating) on for 2k miles, very pleased with the quietness/ride. It is less sporty for sure but after two flat tires on the Scorpions, not looking back from these. I tried to get the 115s but America's Tire stated that it is below OEM spec (technically correct) -- so it...
Mine was working flawless on iOS 17 and iphone 15 pro... switched to iphone 16 pro w/ iOS 18.1 and it's a bit wonky. sometimes not unlocking until i stand at the door for a second. don't think it's the car, but need to play around with the phone...
Kind of have a feeling my recent 'clunk-sensation' coming around 14k miles on the R1S is this item too... comes and goes. Seems like for me it's only on the front left?
There's no safety concern here, purely the OCD annoyance of this clunk sound right? :)
Seeing a likewise nominal drop on efficiency with the 119 ones. Also running ~50psi, going to experiment a bit more over the next few weeks.
Some other interesting stuff from the stats: 119s is 13 lbs heavier, but also 3/32" more tread and 0.5" wider. Quite noticeable for me as America's tire...
Just installed the 119s Michelins as well; America's Tire (Discount Tire) would not install the 115 rated ones -- I don't blame them. However, they inflated to the factory PSI (50) - interesting notes above! Driving quite nicely compared to the stock Pirellis - got my 2nd flat in those and gave...
I had my refrigerant recharged when first complaining about this in the R1S. A combination of that, plus the newer logic with recent updates, has made this much better in the latter part of the summer. Unsure whether it's worth chasing more "car surgery" for more improvement...
Super excited that launch mode is coming, but probably even more excited about potential continual suspension improvements.
Confirmed not coming to gen1 as part of this AMA:
- Apple Watch as key
- Green light chime
- Auto Lane Change
- Camera retrofits
Just got my car back from service, one of my items was 'not cooling well' - even on 80 degree sunny days here in Cali. They were able to diagnose and recharge the coolant amount - it's significantly better after I got it back. Wife complained about it being too cold for maybe the first time...
I've gone ahead and opened up the flaps for them before I hand the keys over... paranoid but i guess it becomes much more obvious if they're there. sorry to hear about this experience, hope they make it right for ya
The RAN in Sacramento is right next two a few regular-speed Rivian Waypoint chargers (slow and free). Audi plug into those, or the actual RAN chargers?
Thanks for summarizing.
I also find it funny that he comments that "the large gap between Rivian product/feature announcement and delivery is really the only thing this company consistently offers"... while ignoring that Tesla is maybe the best at doing that. I'm still waiting for my robotaxi...
Interesting, mine's on an Eero Pro 6 as well. Never had any issues prior to this, was using a Google mesh network previously. Probably just coincidence...
further info - per the API, all these GBs its downloaded haven't moved the progress at all... weird.
