My insurance agent is going to make a courtesy call to the insured that hit me to get them to call in and provide their side of the story. As of Friday, the insured's insurance had not heard from their policy holder and told me liability assignment could be another 30 days if they don't hear...
Rivian called me today and agreed it must be a software/infotainment system issue and not a signal issue. Advised I do an infotainment reset (two outside thumb buttons on the steering wheel for 10 seconds) but I had already done that the day I submitted the request. It didn't help. So he asked...
When I rolled around in my Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid (the Mona Lisa of minivans) the ride was no different with or without the SUP Dawg. Maybe the minivan isn't the vehicle we all want, but it's the vehicle we deserve...
In the past I've just had to wait when the button press doesn't operate as intended. The worst was a solid minute of just waiting in my driveway before I could drive off, trying to get my garage door to close..
Today, the garage door press is not working. I tap it and it doesn't dim, flicker...
It happened and it stinks. I was in a crowded parking lot for my daughter's dance recital. I was in the furthest available row in the parking lot, as owning my truck has unlocked a new parking paint protection anxiety I didn't have before, when I came across two parking spots. I stopped...
Current set up, but it still whistles... Placing them closer to center of the cross bars helps at highways speeds, but 37-55mph it whistles so I take them off during the week. I'd rather keep them on at all times. Anyone using these yet and found a way to keep the sound?
Same issue. Not a range problem. Tapping the named garage door I want to open/close simply doesn't work. I get a nice pinwheel/circle completing symbol when it does work as intended.
I'll try that.
I have had improved success with the noise/whistling by having the SUP Dawg positioned more towards the center of the Rivian crossbars. I'll take pictures tomorrow for show and tell. Still... the noise is too much for me to keep the rack on my vehicle at all times. Looks cool...
I was there last week for a panel alignment and saw this baddy. Ran into DeShaun there, who delivered my truck to my driveway. Carlos took care of my appointment while I was there. Good experience
Great angle in the last pic. Really happy with the way that impact deflected the oncoming vehicle away from the cabin.
Knowing that you're OK and the truck is likely totaled, am I wrong for thinking you need to snag everything off that truck that isn't bolted to it? Center caps, spare tires...
I think it looks great. I love the 1500 combustion and this looks like a 1500. The interior is nice. I agree it's busy dash, but I think the R1T is too clean. I don't hate buttons, but Rivian does, haha. That said, I've sat in plenty of 1500s and that's what a 1500 looks like on the inside...
Yes and everything you just described that could happen to my phone could also happen to any key fob I've ever owned
FWIW this crappy PAAK issue that didn't impact me yesterday is a wake up call and I'll have to figure out a back up system because while a dropped, broken, dead, stolen phone...
Why should I have to carry a back up key for my key? I don't do that for anything else in my life that uses a key.
People are pointing out all the key types we get and suggesting that somehow justifies losing access to our PAAK
Poor Goose. I don't carry a wallet and I don't plan to start.
That said, I will be figuring out a back up way to get in the car now if for some reason my phone doesn't work. I don't have power anxiety, and I've smashed my phone plenty of times - still works. I guess I could lose it... Now that...
Something I noticed that I forgot to mention above. Did everyone already know that the spacing on the cab rack brackets are not identical?
I measured about a 7/8 of an inch difference between the two cab bracket widths. The front brackets have the wider width.
Anyone have a fix for the whistle sound caused by the Yakima SUP Daw surf board rack when mounted over the cab using the Rivian Crossbars?
Some context: I have the Rivian Cross Bars and I already owned the Yakima SUP Dawg surf board rack before I took delivery. I was using the Yakima SUP Dawg...
