I've got those Platinums, and yeah, they're really heavy, but efficiency is still gotten a little better over the AT OEM tires.

Replaced the 20" AT Pirellis at 33, 500 with AS Michelins. I rotated the tires every 8K. I probably could have coaxed another couple of thousand miles out of the original tires, but I had a long road trip coming up and didn't want to chance it.

I purchased the Michelin Defender Platinum after getting 32K with the stock Pirellis. Just did my first rotation with the Michelins, and so far so good. They are **much* quieter on the highways. Range is pretty much unchanged.

Exact same thing happened to me on a 6 hour trip. It was losing air, but verrry slowly. I left the bolt in the tire, but monitored the pressure constantly. The tire lost about 2 lbs for the whole trip. I repaired the tire after returning home from the trip and leak was a little more pronounced.
