    I think you have a short, Tesla infused memory lol. Tesla almost went broke getting the M3 out. It was a hard road to profitability. You also assume Rivians at base price arenā€™t profitable. And remember they expect R2/3 to be eligible for the full $7.5k, so weā€™re talking $38k +, for a vehicle...

    This is a great move. I believe itā€™s more than generous given they are giving customers till Sept. And interestingly this will mean a clean Dec 24 qtr - one in which theyā€™ll benefit from no more LCNRV and fully benefit from the line upgrades.

    Geez the Tesla people are sensitive. Tesla yes was the first to really mass produce EVs and start a SC network. Praise to Tesla... But my point is that Rivian for many years (they made lots of these decisions years ago in stealth mode) one of which was the importance of a reliable charging...

    Iā€™m so glad the partnership broke down and Ford largely exited the shareholder base. Fordā€™s EV business is a mess whereas Rivian hasnā€™t looked back.

    Yes but as we know they schedule the updates in batches, could be VIN based? And he knew about the software update pending - the fact he didnā€™t ask for another test drive, but decided to come online and have a rant/meltdown is cause for concern.
