    Sorry if I missed it; but, does the rack lock down to the crossbars if you use the T-nuts? And, does Kuat include locks with the rack. I have the Yakima; but, I have to load bikes backward to avoid the front wheel hitting the deflector and the adjustability (fore-aft) of the Yakima is limited.

    Ultimately, I want to get the spare kit from Rivian so I donā€™t want to run the risk of stripping the truck fitting. I went with the m10 rod from Amazon. Honestly, I canā€™t believe we have to do this.

    Police in my state stopped pulling people over for expired tags and plate issues because the politicians told them to stop. So, I'm not too worried about getting pulled over for missing a front plate. (Fun fact: Timmy McVeigh got pulled over after his bombing for not having valid tags.)

    I guess you can. The form you file asks for a VIN and the "in service" date. That's about all. From the VIN they can verify the value, etc.

    I would guess we will see more aftermarket options pretty soon. So more options and more incentive for Rivian to get this sorted.

    Thereā€™s another jack option from evsportonline; but, thatā€™s another $120. That jack package is probably better quality than the Rivian one. Itā€™s a tough call. If I had confidence that weā€™ll see a Rivian package by July, Iā€™d wait...

    I was wrong. If you have a BPA and a VIN, and you file 8936 with 15Aug2022 as the "in service" date, you can claim the credit. My tax person is agreeing. Still, I view this as "audit bait" to some degree. If it was a couple of hundred dollars, I would forget it; but, $7500 is a decent amount...

    Good luck. If you make more than 150K for a single or 300K for a couple, you donā€™t qualify. Look at line 18 on the form.

    I think the best winter solution would be a dedicated Blizzak on a 20" wheel. I have a Porsche Macan S.
