  1. What are Rivian's plans to handle service and support once production ramps up? R2, R3 etc.

It’s exciting to see Rivian ramping up production and rolling out new models, especially at lower price points that could drive higher sales volumes. But that’s also where I see a big challenge ahead—how will service keep up with the demand? The R1 feels more like a boutique vehicle, with a...
  2. Carbon Dioxide levels inside cabin while using HVAC in Auto mode

I didn't write this, I don't follow facebook and maybe old news but didn't see it posted here... We talk so much about EV range, performance specs, and software updates, but how often do we think about the actual air we’re breathing inside these machines? Turns out, one Rivian R1T owner did...
  3. Saltwater submerged EV (Tesla) fires.

I'm sure the recent EV fires in the Tampa Bay area are making the news after hurricane Helene submerged many coastal homes. So sad to see the devastation. We are very fortunate (lucky) since our home is on the Anclote River that backed up due to storm surge and only inches away from entering...
  4. Leaking (hydraulic?) fluid above rear control arm pivot point.

Recently noticed the garage floor seemed to have something oily that was under the driver's rear corner. I raised the suspension to it's highest level and found quite a bit of oily fluid that's been leaking and collecting dirt on the underside. Seems to originate above and drip down into the...
  5. Tampa Service Center, open yet?

Any updates on the Tampa service center? Last fall I heard they were aiming for a November 2023 opening date. Any Tampa locals stopped by there?
  6. R1S, I just noticed mine has PPF on lower front fenders.

So I've had the truck since May and washed it several times. I feel dumb that I'm just now noticing it came with a small PPF right behind the aero vent on the front fenders. Nice touch and presumably will help protect the paint from debris that gets kicked up from the front tires. Cool. ?
  7. Socket recommendation for wheel removal?

I typically use my Milwaukee M12 Impact with a deep Cr-Mo impact socket on my older cars. I've never used the aluminum sockets or the torque sockets before, but hear that they do the least amount of damage to the lugs. I really don't want to mar the finish on the lugs or wheel face. Any...
  8. Anyone else seen this ridiculous review of why not to buy an R1S?

I pasted the highlights below, so we don't have to go to the website and generate any more ad revenue. https://history-computer.com/5-reasons-to-avoid-a-rivian-r1s-at-all-costs/ Who is this guy? Generally click bait articles at least get their facts straight. There are so many errors. I...
