Rivian to Include Air Compressor Kit With All Vehicles (Confirmed by Customer Service)

I noticed my purchase price changed when I logged in today, but I couldn't figure out why. Now I know!

Rivian Service Centers / Retail Locations List / Other Facilities

FWIW, the Venice address is 660 Venice Blvd. I went by it a few weeks ago while I was in LA for work and used that address to get me directly to the building (where I didn't see anything exciting).

No Whining - Just Excitement 🙌

My man! I drove an S10 from the time I was 16 until my mid 20s. Loved that truck. Have had a few other vehicles since, and finally went electric with a Tesla and can’t go back to ICE. I’ve been wanting to get back into a truck forever, and the R1T checks all the boxes for me. So now in my 40s...

    Rivians spotted in Auckland, NZ

This article is an amazing pull - wish I could give bonus reaction score for this. ha!

    Lead foot driving

I have a similar debate when I’m driving. One “trick” I started using was sliding in behind a semi for stretches on the highway, which noticeably impacted range in a good way.

Rivian Guide Contacted Finally! (For Real) 📬

Was the car local? If not, how’d you get comfortable there’s no hidden skeletons? My fear with the lease swap is that when it’s time to return it, I’m gonna get hosed.

Potential Change to $7,500 EV Tax Credit

Hmmm... this one confused me. The credit goes to the end purchaser, not the OEM. Unless there is some sort of matching incentive that also goes to the manufacturer? Or I suppose you could argue the manufacturers artificially inflate the price by $7.5k to increase margins, but I'm not sure it...

Rivian Wall Charger--Anyone know who makes it??

I basically did this for four years - didn’t get the Tesla wall charger and just used the mobile charger with a NEMA 14-50 outlet in the garage. I originally thought I would unplug it and bring it with me on road trips, but honestly I never once unplugged it. I’m kicking around getting the wall...

Video comparing "equal" R1T vs. Lightning EV truck

Not to mention that if the Lightning was really capable of 450+ miles, there’s no way Ford wouldn’t be leading with that. You’ll hear it over and over with EVs than range is king - so in their public reveal, they undersell range by 33%? I understand wanting to be conservative, but that’s...

Thoughts on removal of Off Road Upgrade

“I can’t prove it, but...” is a helluva way to start a rant. There’s usually something great coming after that caveat. So Rivian discovered this, and in an effort to keep this conspiracy secret, then decided to bury that random number in the website coding? That’s some next level stuff.

Article - Tesla first to market (no mention of Rivian)

There is literally no mention of Rivian in this article. Is that intentional? Lazy?

Seems like a neat idea on paper, but everything I've read about adding solar panels to EVs is that the costs far outweigh the actual amount of charge you'd return to the car.

    Which accessories are you configuring?

Thanks - the 40A is plenty for my purposes, so sounds like this is as easy as it can possibly be.

    Which accessories are you configuring?

I already have the NEMA outlet in the garage from my last vehicle, but didn't get the Tesla wall charger (just used the mobile connector). I think I'm going to spring for the wall charger this time, as there is probably a better use case for having the mobile connector with me for the R1T...

    Which accessories are you configuring?

With the price reduction for the off-road package, I am now considering adding the camp kitchen. I don't think I'll use it all that often and I'm afraid it will sit in the garage 98% of the time (so as to not take up the entire gear tunnel), but it's just such a unique feature that I keep...

If the official EPA range is....

All depends on individual use cases - for me, the range being 275 or 300 or 325 isn't the driving factor. I'm coming from an EV that had a stated range of 290, more realistically 250, and I never once had an issue with range in 4 years of ownership (including several road trips). But...

    What will we learn 5/24 - 5/30?

Agree 100% with all of this. This Forum has taken on a bit of a Lord of the Flies vibe the past couple of weeks.
