Congrats to all getting their R1S from today's batch. I'm on Chat to try for third time to get R1Shop Access & I'm currently #49th in que, 1 hour wait... :cool: Update: Same cut-n-paste reply as 1st chat last month. Morgan did state she'll add a comment to my notes that I'm flexable... :(

Last I read, you keep R1Shop access until you pick from the shop & are assigned a VIN or your original configuration goes into production. Whichever comes first kicks you out of the R1Shop. :cool:

Glad you & your wife liked the R1S. Based on my (2nd) Frist Drive this past Thursday (they invited me), I went ahead and changed back to FE interior & 21" Tires to keep $80k & get the tax write off later (amended tax return & signed agreement with Rivian last Aug). I never did get R1Shop access...

I slipped it into our ongoing talk/walkthrough/First Drive, that I had seen 4 CY R1S's in the R1Shop, since Jan '23 that had been posted in forums by others, that I would have gladly jumped on anyone of them had I had access & that led to mention that I was obviously flexible in my configuration...

Ty for posting. Had my 2nd First Mile today (they Invited Me this time) & I asked for R1Shop access... We'll see... :cool:

Guess I'll be moving my Vanture N4 3 Channel 4K Dash Cam from my '21 Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid (leased by the company I work for) to my R1S when it arrives. I hope Rivian is working on "Drive Cam 2.0" soon. Their system is still better than nothing. :cool:

I had a $5000 Golf Cart back in 2007 named "Little Red". Now I'm about to own an $80,000 Golf Cart named "Tarkus"... :cool:

This was long over due. Glad Rivian listened to us & provided this feature. I've been using Dash Cameras in my vehicles for over 7 years & have been able to provide "on-the-spot" video proof to Troopers/Police and the other driver got the tickets & insurance repair bill in 5 or 6 different...

If I can find a "Tarkus" emoji... We'll have a winner!
