What's the point of "Launch Green" if you're not going to launch with it??

Uhh, they are launching with it. They're currently fulfilling Launch Edition orders exclusively. Once those orders are fulfilled they're dropping that color (unless they decide not to, these aren't legally-binding terms). If you mean why aren't they literally rolling the first production...

    Is this LE Green?

The Land Rover green is nothing like the Launch color. Think WWII combat Jeep.

NEW CYBERTRUCK SOLAR BED COVER PATENT

Word. It's a theoretical gain of charge. A stationary, properly-aligned array in full sunlight will come close, but a moving vehicle in varying weather conditions will get a tiny fraction of that.

New updates! July deliveries, August test drives, off road package now optional on Launch Edition, gear added to configurator

You won't get me to apologize for choosing to live in the historic manufacturing hub of America. Are roads lead to/from here.

    Is this LE Green?

It's always looked like that. The confusion is likely because they tend to show Forest Green in their videos and photos, but Launch has always been olive drab.

New updates! July deliveries, August test drives, off road package now optional on Launch Edition, gear added to configurator

These are touring programs and have to start somewhere. Everyone obviously wants them to start in their hometown. So far you're out $0 and nothing else.

How many times have you changed color combos?

It's just a placeholder, I wouldn't get my panties in a bunch over color until there's something out there in need of paint. I would have gladly answered "yes" as my color choice for all it matters.

    Anyone worried?

New/improved/affordable battery technology is the holy grail of electric vehicledom. It will not suddenly appear without notice. A company like Quantumscape got international headlines for baby steps in solid state battery development. So if you hear anything "a few months" after purchase it...

Timing of New Tundra with potential for plug-in Hybrid could hurt Rivian

EVs compete with other EVs. Nobody is buying a Rivian because of fuel economy. It's for people who are moving towards an EV platform. A PHEV can appeal to buyers who want better fuel economy but it's rarely a great compromise.

Developer Of Aluminum-Ion Battery Claims It Charges 60 Times Faster Than Lithium-Ion, Offering EV Range Breakthrough

I'm counting on big advances in potato battery technology. Cheap, plentiful and renewable. Only downside is occasional famine.

Rivian has four new models in development!

The 150 mile range of the van is an Amazon design spec, not a limitation of the platform. They can easily double that range given the size of the vehicle - even with added weight.

Wonder if Rivian's lending R1T's for "secret" Auto/EV publishers or Auto/EV-bloggers to do reviews?

He's a consultant to the company and was previously consulting for the investors pre-investment. Not sure how that impacts his ability to opine.

Wonder if Rivian's lending R1T's for "secret" Auto/EV publishers or Auto/EV-bloggers to do reviews?

No "secret" in getting reviews. There is no doubt in my mind that they are engaging in sound business and marketing practices in planning for their production launch. I'm also sure that they have all sorts of agreements in place about news embargoes. You'll know when they want you to know.

Any chance the R1S starts delivery in June too?

Completely separate production lines. Amazon is a good customer in addition to being an investor so they're going to meet those commitments without risk of production delays.

Let's take a moment to appreciate how well-thought-out the R1T and R1S are going to be

If pre-Rivian Rivian could have released a model commercially they likely would have. The decade of misfires that preceded the current offerings was certainly a learning curve but I doubt that a 12-year ramp-up was part of the plan in 2009.

Let's take a moment to appreciate how well-thought-out the R1T and R1S are going to be

Well, to be fair, Rivian has its clunky past as Mainstream/Avera, so their 1.0 iteration was similarly unimpressive. https://www.motorauthority.com/news/avera-motors
