That seems like a good reason to keep some salad tongs in a plastic bag somewhere in/on the car.
And maybe some of those 'exam' gloves as well . . . . but not in the bag with the tongs.
Does that affect the warranty?
If both products have the same quality and both work well the only reason I could see to spend that extra is to maintain a good warranty. If the warranty is poor or a short term or has a record of claim denials then there's not much reason to give them extra...
