Powder coating will get us the configurator version, not the real life version with the dark mirror chrome / gloss black combo :D. But yes, that is an option to consider.
To be fair, even the body paint reflectivity is much much lower in the configurator vs. real life. Those renders could pass off as a satin finish vs. gloss. So I don't think this is a problem exclusive to the 20" darks. They just need better renderings in the configurator for everything.

Second this! Also curious, @Riviot if you explored doing a full PPF coat and how much they quoted for something like that. I'm interested in doing a matte film on my R1S but it sounds like it could get super expensive.
This is a good result, but one mitigating factor I didn't see brought up explicitly is that the EPA test was not done entirely in Conserve mode. IIRC it was a mix of modes, potentially averaging out to being in All-purpose the whole time. So that 314 mi EPA range would likely be even higher if...
Excellent pics, agree that you are quite gifted! I like the one from the drivers seat looking upwards and back towards the panoramic roof - very creative ?. In the underbody shot, is this the one with the off-road reinforced shield or without?
I actually went on Thursday with that very intention and unfortunately did not spot a FG. Had a nice chat with one of the guys there though and saw LG again. I’ll go back tomorrow and try my luck! There’s a parking lot behind the service center that’s hard to see from the front - is there a...
I have only seen LG extensively in person. It's a good color, but it does feel a tad muted for the grey skies we have here in the Pacific Northwest most of the year. I couldn't even tell that it had metal flaking, but apparently it does. I have no doubt it will look great in the sun.
I have...
Hah you're right, just noticed that! You should drop your config in your signature :). What wheels are you getting? I'm also potentially contemplating a swtich from LG to FG but I have some time to make that decision, I think.
I'm 100% sure I saw your truck INSIDE the service center today being paint buffed :). Rivian Blue with dark 20s. Looked a-mazing!
Edit: My bad, that isn't your config, it's @StanLee 's. So not 100% sure it's his? But there is one there!
I popped in to the Bellevue Service Center today because I was in the area and had a really nice chat with one of the guys there. He happened to be the same person I saw a couple of weeks ago when he was doing mobile test drives with a LG R1T in Seattle (documented in this post).
I was hoping...

And here's my order of preference of exterior colors for Forest Edge...
Agree, this is an excellent deal - they're what, covering sales tax at most, and pocketing the federal tax incentive? I'm sure they're going to get folks offering over asking.
@Addison1060 that's actually telling because they don't know how much it's worth :D
Kind of in a similar boat. My delivery window is July - Sept, so even if OC interiors are delayed by "months" they should be on trucks and SUVs by the time July rolls around. I might wait a bit before making a call on changing to BM. BM would go well with LG but it might be a bit too dark in...
Very cool! Do you find that this view is getting you more comfortable with pulling up a lot closer to obstacles than you'd otherwise be? Also wondering where the limits are: can you pull the front of the truck up to, say, 3 inches of your garage's back wall with some degree of certainty?
