For ranters like me it takes a bit of wind of out of my sail.
In any case my main complaint with CarPlay being unavailable in a Rivian isn't because I need to have it, but because Rivians Infotainment is horrible.
So Carplay would be a way to avoid the mess.
In a GM I'd at least have Google...
I'll test it because I find Spotify on the Rivian to be an entirely WTF kind of experience.
I had to create a second playlist that was a copy of my favorites because Rivians Spotify app wouldn't support more than 100 (or so) favorites.
And 4-5 months slow when its fixing a regression FM radio favorites bug.
That bug sure bugged me.
On the plus side I have a lot more Spotify favorites due to the 5 months.
I wonder if it isn't a regulatory/safety issue as well.
It's one thing for people to add a RTT to a vehicle, but its quite another for a vehicle manufacture themselves to sell one. That's essentially telling your customer that it won't compromise safety or anything else.
I also wonder how many...
I love Rivian marketing.
I think its best in the business.
The long way up, their blog, etc.
It's a very easy vehicle to fall in the love with the idea of it.
Execution though? Haha
I've never had an issue with the charger door closing on me until I installed the latest update, and then it closed on my fingers.
It does look they put it through proper safety "will it chop fingers" testing as it did not chop my fingers. It was more of a "what the hell?" kind of moment.
Companies can act fast when Revenue is at stake. Or maybe it was simply a way to improve profitability.
On the plus side at least the new Audio system was working on par (feature wise) with the old one.
If it was Tesla the audio system wouldn't be available until 6 months after they shipped...
It uses both.
It does make sense to use both as radar as issues detecting stopped objects, and issues with locating exactly where a return is coming from.
So I can see the camera being additional data for redundancy and safety.
The problem is whoever implemented the code/algorithms didn't do...
I can't see the bumper camera as being the source.
It's likely very easy to test this theory by covering up the camera in the windshield and then seeing if driver+ still works.
Why not a fridge?
We need aftermarket fridge in a way that's optimized to be able to get something out of it via the rear seat opening.
Or maybe two doors where one is through the seat opening, and the other is at the gear tunnel door.
Oh, and while you're at it we need an heated steering...
I don't see any reason to charge to 100% at an EA charger near your home.
Charging to 80 or 85% proves the fast charging works.
I do all my charging to 100% at either home or destination charging due to how long it takes. I don't want to be the one taking up a fast charger stall for at least...
Had?
As in they fixed it or did you sell it to due the ridiculous amounts of money people were paying for it?
In the latest service appointment they did manage to get the noise down to a point where its livable. And, I would be okay with it if they stated on their blog what it was and what to...
Tesla didn't just cross over the line between what's right and wrong. They crossed over it by such a massive amount that they have to rely on the "you must be an idiot to believe that" argument.
I personally don't believe Rivian crossed the line.
Sure I'm not happy with a joke of heated...
