Probably need to put the code in to accept the signal from the app. Not sure how it is coded but the app probably has its own subroutine section that handles the requests. That is how I would have done it to lower the exposure for remote calls.
Yes they need a better way to handle factory delivery request. I told my guide that was my preference, was told I could do it, then I could not, then I got a call to schedule factory pickup, then it was canceled, then a couple of more phone calls, finally I was able to do it but apparently I’m...
I agree the R1 series can be bigger than the S/X market, especially when they start delivering the dual motor LFP under 80k. That being said though the market for vehicles north of 70k is limited in general and with the interest rates going north and the fed insisting on higher unemployment...
You misunderstood the earnings report. There were several thousand vehicles that were produced and not delivered in 2022. There were also a few hundred that were built but not ready for delivery either because not through QC or waiting on parts and we’re not included in the built number which...
Congrats on the delivery.
I think the Guy is incorrect. We have seen 2022 R1Ts in the 15k range and 2023 in the 18k range, if the numbers reset then they would be over 33k number for R1Ts and close to 10k for R1S, and who knows about EDVs but let’s say around 7500. That would be 55k total...
Am I the only one that am optimistic seeing all of those white EDVs with the gray rear doors. Makes me think they are going to sell to more than just Amazon. 🤞🏻
Rates not released and not clear on when. They mentioned April but not sure if that is everyone or people that have had vehicles longer than say 6 or 12 months. My guess is we will have more clarity prior to the 2023 Q1 earnings report.
I have not used the RAN yet but my understanding is it was authenticating the truck and allowing for a free session. This change will allow them to charge based on your stored credit card.
I think they need to focus on the R2 plant and hope they can make the 2026 date.
The market is limited for the R1 platform simply because of the cost. Using Tesla as an example they sale 1 Model S/X for every 18.5 Model 3/Y. The path to growth and profitability is in the commodity models...
Just a comment, if you have location services all the time set it always has code running even if you close the app. If you want to be able to fully close the app you should set it to location services only when app is running.
I agree, the Tesla Super Chargers took off once Tesla started charging for them. They had 790 chargers at the end of 2016, by the end of 2018 they virtually doubled to 1421, as of the end of 2022 they had 4,678.
