Hopefully people can now see (1) why the Rivian costs $40k more than a similar range CT and $20k more than a much higher range/specs CT and (2) why this was never intended to, and never will, compete with Rivian. It is a completely different approach for a completely different market segment.

May be correct for R1Ts but we have not seen same for R1S. We live less than 15 miles from service center and have been pushed back a year. I understand from Rivian CS folks that demand for the T is well down vs S so that is probably why.

@BillyBob We are in exactly the same situation with the R1S. Reserved in Oct 2021, then 4Q 2022 then 1H 2023 and now suddenly bumped to 1H 2024. Rivian's approach to bumping the new, higher-priced, customers is understandable but super frustrating. If they told us we could accelerate for a $5k...
