A good point. Anyone that believes that Rivian is actually going to manufacture a sound system to place in their vehicles is likely going to be surprised.
No screws please (for me). I want something that is EASY to add/remove. Not interested if I need a tool. For lack of a better description, something like this? With a tab to pull it out when you want to remove it.
*It should not however, have a concave space to collect debris.
I believe...
Looking good!
I had mudflaps on my Tacoma, but would prefer not to on the Rivian. At the same time, I'd like prevent the rock splash and wear in this particularly hard to maintain area.
Mudflaps would certainly provide better protection in every way, but for occasional driving on rock roads...
How about some removable, rubber, plugs for the "vents" behind the front wheels? I don't want to put mud flaps on the truck. But plugs would be helpful on gravel roads.
Edit: "Anti-Aero"
At what point in a thread would you generate the TLDR summary? Would you re-generate it after new content was added to the thread?
Often, early in a threads life, multiple solutions or significant ideas are added in the first few pages. Other times, no new significant developments are posted...
I've been looking at going from Memphis to Florida and have had the same concern about the Memphis to Birmingham leg. I've been particularly concerned about the return trip as prevailing winds would likely be opposing. And spring brings plenty thunderstorms, rain, etc. to the area.
One option...
Don't I recall Munro and Associates publishing an exhaustive seat tear down? With lots of discussion of materials and critique of design choices? I also seem to recall her resume is heavy with vehicle interior design experience at (GM?).
I get it, publishing a lot of content must be exhausting...
I'm not surprised. They say they will deliver "within 72 hours". They are technically proficient enough to create or have created a WordPress site*. But they can't deliver a pdf within 72 hours?
Please be careful.
* For those that care, it was a joke!
I have no idea if this is accurate or legitimate. NOT cheap, especially if the product is not as described.
The high price and the "no refunds after delivery" would keep me from considering it.
The company purports to be in Hong Kong and can be read in simplified Chinese if that is helpful.
Can you point me to where a few months ago they said, "we’re still putting together the visuals and demonstration and will make sure they get shared out to the community as soon as possible".
Thanks!
We'll have to agree to disagree I'm sure.
The statement that was quoted:
"we’re still putting together the visuals and demonstration and will make sure they get shared out to the community as soon as possible"
....strongly implies that design, etc. is complete, as you can't put together...
