R1S Kicks A$$ in Drag & Roll Races vs Urus and Shelby F-150 Super Snake (Throttle House)

It would be cool for them to geofence the limiter for drag strips…

    Love this truck!

Just got back home from a night out with the wife. What a great truck. You all who have your trucks/SUVs have a pretty cool car, those of you waiting, hang in there it’s worth it. Just some Friday night good vibes.

Just passed 10k miles. 2.44m/KWh consumption so far (on 21" wheels)

This is very similar to me at 1.87 mi/kWh with 1134 miles on the clock, also with 21’s. Pretty mild winter here in the mid-Atlantic this winter. Average speed 27 mph.

    Absolutely agree.

    Quad motor vs locking diff

100% with you. I’ve been humbled in the past on things which seemed similar at first, but got much more difficult than I could have possibly thought. I’m sure that the Mercedes engineers will be benchmarking their current G when they’re working on the EQG. I have to assume those guys know what...

Upcoming Competition: 2024 Tacoma Pickup Design Leaked 📸

Not going to lie, I kind of love it. I don’t have a ton of faith that it’ll get more than 250 mi of range and subpar charging speed, but I’ll watch this space.

    Quad motor vs locking diff

Apologies to make you re-tread old ground there (pun intended), I guess this forum moves faster than I do. Genuinely appreciate the real world experience. Also no argument at all about the lower weight of the dual motor being a benefit.

    Quad motor vs locking diff

So in your example of the vehicle on the slippery hill. What would be the difference if the driver had an “advanced” setting where he/she could turn off individual motors? If the driver turned off the wheel. The other wheel on the “axle” would do whatever you want it to do by controlling with...

    Quad motor vs locking diff

I’m reserving judgement until I see what Mercedes does with the EQG.

Stock price - do people realize Rivian (RIVN) is NOT Tesla (TSLA)??

“The 18 analysts offering 12-month price forecasts for Rivian Automotive Inc have a median target of 41.50, with a high estimate of 63.00 and a low estimate of 19.00. The median estimate represents a +151.52% increase from the last price of 16.50.” I agree that the economy is slowing and I also...

Stock price - do people realize Rivian (RIVN) is NOT Tesla (TSLA)??

“"We have people who know nothing about stocks being advised by stock brokers who know even less," Munger said. "It's an incredible, crazy situation. I don't think any wise country would want this outcome. Why would you want your country's stock to trade on a casino?"”

I don’t agree with this statement In the short-term. I bought more RIVN today.

Tesla Price Cuts Across The Board

Yeah I mean we love ours, especially for road-trips. I think that even though the R1T is the fun/shiny new toy, we’d still use the Y for road-trips. I told most folks who were interested in the Y to not pay 60k+ for it because it’s just not a great value at that price, but with the current...

Tesla Price Cuts Across The Board

Totally agree with this. The Y is a great car, but it doesn’t have anywhere near the capability of a Rivian. If your use case is trips to the store and work, the Y is a great option. If you have any aspirations of venturing out on anything above a relatively smooth fire access road or tow...
