Someone previously shared these wheels, but I think they’re cheaper at this website. According to this website these have a 2,200 load rating. But I question that, because I’m pretty sure these were made for cars...
I just discovered these steelies on the net. This website doesn’t say what their load capacity is, but for a spare I might be willing to risk it. Worst case is damaging a cheap wheel, and unlikely IMO...
Since you brought it up. I didn’t like how the black decals don’t cover enough of the silver on the rear R1T emblem. So I designed duplicates & 3D printed them using carbon fiber nylon filament.
Interesting. Don’t our Rivian’s have cameras and/or sensors on the side mirrors? I thought there are more cameras than I’m able to see on the screen, except perhaps when they’re stitched together for the birdseye view, which is great but too small IMO.
Thanks for bringing this up. I’ve been wondering the same thing. I’d like to know everything that’s changed between modes. Not just power, but all suspension settings, virtual sway bars, virtual front/rear & side to side differentials, stability & traction control, etc. I’d also like to know...
The different colored lines & noises on my drivers display seem to work well for indicating proximity to objects. But they don’t detect curbs at all. Do yours?
This is good advice to avoid clipping a rear wheel on an inside curb of a turn. But this was a mistake judging the distance of the right front against a curb at zero mph while watching the cameras.
My prior daily driver was a Honda Ridgeline, which is a similar sized truck with a rear camera...
After driving my R1T for a month and 1,600 miles, I’m still having trouble scraping curbs while parking, which I’ve never had driving other cars over the past 40 years. Last night it happened for the third time, this time causing major damage to my (22”) right front wheel.
The damage occurred...
I got the black badge decals and love the look (except in the “R1T” badge, because it doesn’t cover enough of it). I installed them per the instructions. First wash after all the rain, several letters are gone & it looks ridiculous. Gonna have to remove the rest, sadly.
Hopefully one of the experts will confirm this, but I believe that these are the first “relatively cheap” wheels with an offset that’s not too different from stock. Very interesting.
Please share photos of these on a Rivian & confirm that they fit over the brakes.
On the bottom tray of the main screen, I want the Camera icon to be stuck there, in exchange for the Vehicle icon. Sometimes when I need the proximity cameras, I need it quickly, and having to touch twice rather than once and remove my eyes from driving for 1-2 seconds makes a big difference.
Would you mind sharing a photo of the part number on the back of the wheel? Knowing that you used these on a Rivian would verify that this part no fits.
I’d be interested in buying one wheel, but I’d need it shipped, so I’m not sure if that’s worth it.
I understand that one has been approved by the DMV and the other has not. But is that the only difference? I suspect that it is. And if so, how will the police know the difference?
This could be a great idea. Someone please figure it out & show the rest of us how it’s done. I’d consider trying it, but I don’t have any need to jack up my truck yet.
Yes I was wondering about this. If using pucks, there’s no way to jack it up AND put a jack stand at that corner, enabling you to move the jack to the next corner. Unless both wheels on one side of the truck are lifted by jacking up one corner, I see no way to use jack stands.
Jacking up a...
1. Unless I’m missing something, I can’t turn on the rear window & mirror defroster from the app. This is needed.
2. From the app, I’d like to be able to set a schedule, so the interior temp is _° at _ time every day, or Mon-Fri. Our $20K Ford Focus EV had this feature.
3. The adaptive cruise...
I noticed that on this website, which claims to be the one and only legal source of these in California, they cost $120. But on several other websites, such as this one, they can be found for under $25. Does anyone know if there’s any noticeable difference between these? Or is the only...
