This definitely seems to be the most ‘production ready’ version that we’ve gotten a glimpse of so far! They’ve also mentioned tweaking the door handles slightly for production vs the prototypes. It appears the handles have been flipped with the dimple appearing on the opposite side. Not sure if...
I spoke with a battery engineer who took note of many things I brought up that she didn’t have answers to. She said she’d try to email if she’s able to get any answers :fingerscrossed:. I edited my previous post, but two employees made it seem like a burnt orange/root beer color will be...
Well I was there at the Rivian stand for a little while earlier. Didn’t have a ton of time to talk to the employees, but did find out a few things (might not be all new to everyone):
No CarPlay or Android Auto. I feel like I’ve heard a few mixed things about this, but the guy I spoke to said...
The ~$69k price for the mid-range truck was brought up shortly after the Cybertruck reveal I thought? Prior to that, I also expected the 135 kWh R1T with the electrochromic roof would be at least around $80k so this makes me very happy to hear again.
It has been stated many times in articles and things awhile back and it’s what I’ve been expecting all along. Not everyone was convinced though. This just seems like the most official statement now that we’re nearing production. Very excited.
I’ll be there, but might be on a tight schedule Saturday evening. I’ll have to see what I’m able to do after the event on Saturday.
As far as recommendations go, Live Oak is my favorite brewery and is also quite close to COTA
Agreed, and have had a similar experience. I’ve had Toyo M/T’s, Nitto Trail Grapplers, and Toyo ATII’s. I plan to throw the ATII’s on the Rivian when it arrives (depending on available tire/wheel packages). Great tire.
I’m kind of hoping for a metallic red. I was originally wishing for a metallic blue, but don’t see that happening after they revealed the current flat blue. I could see a ‘desert’ shade potentially happening too, similar to what you mentioned above.
