Typically if its a case with it built in, the magnet is lined up appropriately. As for adding a ring, a quick google search should net a general location of where the ring needs to be. It doesn't need to be perfect to work, but a good alignment will help with charging.

The first run of CNC parts had some issues from our fabricator. This would of been the first two weeks of orders. Also I recommend loosening the two CNC parts on the mount sliding them into GG, and then tightening. That should fix either CNC part to be fair, but I rather you guys have the new...

Like @Roffir said (also thank you for letting me film again) just add a magnetic ring to your phone and you are good to go. One of my beta testers does that with his Android phones.

Glad I checked. As we are discussing two different things. I'm asking about the actual 12v battery terminal connections not the ones rivian adds on top to connect all the modules. The physical oem battery terminal is an M5 thread hole. Thank you!

Not really. An M8 nut would thread onto the terminals under the plastic but wouldn't work with the battery terminal.

Do you mean that the head is 8 mm and the hole size is actually M5? I am in the process of making an adapter for aftermarket batteries, and want to confirm I didn't make a mistake on my adapter thread size.
