  1. R2 real-world validation begins! Prototypes will wear unique wraps

I wonder where they will be located. I’m next to the Irvine HQ. I’ll keep an eye out! If I find one, I’ll track it down for pics! More likely in Death Valley for heat testing!
  2. Off-roading with LT275/50R-22 BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A KO3 E?

I guess I’m used to great groups of Jeeps on a trail and one person brings one and everyone uses it. The end if the trip ā€˜party’. Yes you can wire to your car 12v battery all you want for one vehicle.
  3. Off-roading with LT275/50R-22 BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A KO3 E?

One cool thing about the Rivian fur off-roading is the built in compressor. I just deflate to 30-35 have done fun then re inflate quickly back to 48 for the highway. Can’t do that in a Jeep without hauling a compressor and genset!
  4. Off-roading with LT275/50R-22 BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A KO3 E?

I went to Americas Tire. They are allied in some way with Rivian, at least here in SoCal. Try their advice. I bought my K02s and wheels there. I switch out between OEM wheels and Michelins LTs for normal driving and 20 inch offriad wheels and k02. Since I bought most of these from them they...
  5. Off-roading with LT275/50R-22 BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A KO3 E?

If you want to do some serious off-roading you go with a smaller wheel where your tire can have a much higher tread wall. You can also deflate the tire more with a thicker tire. But most off roading on a dirt road should be fine with 22s.
  6. Off-roading with LT275/50R-22 BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A KO3 E?

I have K02s on 20 inch wheels. Plenty of space for almost all off roading in the high position. Don’t try with low! Why did you get 22s for off roading?

  11. Just got the new spare tire cover/extraction tool - how do you use it?

Where did you find these instructions? You’d figure they’d come with the part or in the gear shop description! I get the idea now. Thanks
  12. Just got the new spare tire cover/extraction tool - how do you use it?

Does anyone have instructions on how to use this cover? I just got one since my experience lifting the spare out of the R1T storage shows it should be useful. But no instructions! Anyone have instructions or know where Rivian posts it? It obviously fits around the tire and the handle is...

As per official RAN map, Astoria , OR is operational!
  14. Normal, IL RAN station is operational

After reading that Astoria OR station is about to open, I checked the map. And the Normal, IL site is up. Only four sites are left - Pismo Beach, CA, Wickenburg AZ, Albuquerque, NM , and Columbus, TX. I wonder when we find out about other ones.
  15. RAN Planned Additions and Timing

Check the news today. Expect a lot of this silliness.
