It is a mapped trip - you only get that with a mapped trip. It also estimates wind resistance effects. I'm just saying that their range estimation for trips you are in the process of taking is quite realistic and accurate.
Tesla's will show the predicted uphill and downhill effects on the range for the entire segment. As you drive, it'll show your actual range and can see if you are better or worse than the expected graph. This is very nice. I wish Rivian had this.
I was hoping something would be updated in the latest firmware release which I just installed last night but no. Interesting that a lowly chargepoint station shows up in Wilcox (which is very valuable to know) but no iONNA yet. Both iONNA and this chargepoint location in Wilcox are valuable to...
The iONNA charger in Wilcox Ax is a great location. Wish it would show up as a charger.
Anyone know when these will be recognized as a charging option in the Car Nav/Charging locations?
I've observed many people take their own personal experiences and project that the experience must surely apply to the majority of others. It is perfectly legit for everyone to say, "this is what I have observed", but one can only then generalize if one conducts an unbiased survey with a large...
Didn't read all of these threads as it quickly ballooned to 9 pages, but coming from a Tesla 2015 model S with only a backup camera visible to me (front camera is in place, but I don't get to view what it views) and a bunch of radar sensors and a HW4 model Y, I miss the useability of the Tesla...
Coming from a Tesla, I'm really disappointed in the Rivian software on my Gen 2 R1S.
Sometimes I can't start the car because it doesn't see my phone.
Opening the garage door is a 50-50 chance.
Remembering my seat position on easy access settings (or remembering to lower me) has gotten better...
The last free trial version of software V13.whatever on our 2024 model Y was quite amazing and a big leap over V12.x. It is very very close. Let's see how the CyberCab goes in Austin this summer - that should give everyone a realistic view of how polished it is.
Anyone hear news of when the hands free driving improvement is coming? Please don't tell me that it is here. I haven't noticed any improvement. All of Rivian software is about an order of magnitude less capable/user friendly than Tesla in my opinion. And Tesla's is still improving, increasing...
Heck no (but I'd have to find one first not to use it). BTW - iONNA and the EA chargers are at good locations for me in AZ, and I only charge for 10 mins to get me to a home charger when on trips.
Comments about Tesla FSD need to state what version of FSD they had personal experience with. If it isn't FSD 13.2.2 or later, the experience on earlier versions is no longer relevant as FSD 13.2.2 is a giant improvement over any previous version.
I do have a service appointment scheduled. One month out was the soonest they could get someone to look at it. I do think they need to up their quality game, even though the car hasn't done that since. I'm parking on level surfaces just in case the slant was the issue.
Got this at 2:30 am one night on my 2 week old R1S.
Immediate serving required as the parking brake has failed!
Must been an automatic parking brake. I was parked in a driveway with a slight slant, so perhaps it applied it for me, which I didn't think was necessary.
