  6. Normal, IL RAN station is operational

    After reading that Astoria OR station is about to open, I checked the map. And the Normal, IL site is up. Only four sites are left - Pismo Beach, CA, Wickenburg AZ, Albuquerque, NM , and Columbus, TX. I wonder when we find out about other ones.

    Well it seems my mission is to notice new RAN charging stations! I just look from time to time and… today three new stations have appeared! Pismo Beach,CA - really useful going up the coast for me! Cisco and Columbus, TX All needed locations! Happy Motoring...

    We just visited the Joshua Tree Outpost charging station. They have tours today and described how this Outpost differs from the RAN chargers. Really nice place and fits in with JTNP.   11. Shoshone RAN operational! Wow! The RAN stations are being built fast

    I wonder if this has anything to do with spending that infrastructure money? And those DOGE dingbats. Shoshone RAN station on way to Death Valley NP is now shown to be open! And I was planning on going there soon! Yippee! Anyone up to checking it out? I suspect an announcement soon from Rivian!

  14. New Michelin LTX M/S2 on 275/55 R21 tires extra load on Gen1 R1T

    Just switched out my original Pirellis on Rivian R21 rims with these new Michelins. The Pirellis lasted 35K! I was on BFG KO2s on third party wheels from Americas Tires for an addition 15K miles until this change . Back on the K02s next year when off-roading fun returns for me. So far...

    I drove by Joshua Tree this past Sunday and saw a little building with concealed chargers about to completed just North West of the main entrance on hwy 62. Didn’t get a pic but will pass by again Wednesday and will get pics. it reminded me a lot of this place...

  19. Tried out first ROVE charging station in Santa Ana, CA

    I’m checking out the new Rove charging station in Santa Ana CA off I5. Really nice place on the grounds of the old HomeTown Buffet that my kids liked long ago! 40 chargers mostly busy. Gelson overpriced mini mart and nice lounge as well. Pics below. Really nice. 58 cents per KW at 2:30 so...
