If you do low mileage then yes vampire drain will have a small impact but typical mileage of 1000 miles a month will not be significantly affected. It does not explain the 16+% increase in efficiency observed
There is a $16k difference between dual and tri but performance dual takes up $5k and adding back in what was removed (utility panel, upgraded stereo, wood etc) is another $3-4k. I would assume a $10k premium so starting around $110k for the quad T. we will see!
The most recent update had good stuff, with 12 or so updates a year and the software fairly mature it is unrealistic to expect massive improvements each month.
Thanks, I have seen these postings for a while. Hoping that Trenton would open in 2024 but sounds like early 2025.
Lucid is open, I checked their website and it is classed as a service center. I am pleased that is there as it means Rivian should have no legal issue opening facilities in PA...
I am having my 7500 mile inspection and tire rotation with mobile service today. The service technician mentioned that Trenton service center will open early 2025. In addition he said that Lucid was opening in SE PA (KoP area) and that Rivian were looking to do that too - that was news to me as...
Definitely won’t be $90k as RJ said before the R2 would not overlap with R1 pricing. Sounds like two battery packs, I expect the upgraded battery pack to e around 20kWh (given then 60 mile range gain) to be $5k, going from RWD to AWD would be $5k. Tri motor is an unknown but $5-10k depending on...
It was pretty clear they are not going to 800V or he would have just said it. They are saving money and 800V seems to have been fetishized by some as a absolutely necessary step, it saves some time whe DC fast charging which is a very small minority of peoples annual charging experience. I would...
Sorry you had this. I went away for 8 days over Christmas, starting at 80% charge and did not plug in. There should be no need for relatively short trips to do this.
This sort of publicity will drive Rivian to make spare parts available for others to install.
They should allow their glass manufacturer to sell to Safelite so this specific issue doesn’t occur in future. It would also relieve pressure on the service centers.
