They called me last week telling me I needed the hub bolts torqued.
So yesterday they torqued the hub to knuckle bolts and replaced the 12V, and yes, covered under warranty.
They should send you an authorization to sign that shows it's free before you get there (sent to me the day before), if...
I think it's attempting to show the extractable energy at the current pack temp. So if it's cold a full charge might be 120kWh. You park it in a warm garage and 24 hours later is stores 130kWh. So even if it vampire drained 1kWh, you'd only see 129kWh, which would be more miles.
Note, the...
My checks say it's pack temp, that really low dip on mine is when it was left outside and the pack hit 23°F, the following night it was 15°F, but I charged it so the pack was 55° and that's why it bounced right up to 129kWh or so. Charging heats the battery and will bring the number up. Things...
That's not what's going on, it's temperature compensated now (I don't think it was before), so now the SoC depends on battery temp, and you can't compare two numbers without the associated same battery temp.
Here is mine, note the change seemed to happen around .47 (I have a bit of a data gap...
I would say it's normal, if the battery is below 50F, then it can't do full regen at any reasonable charge level (maybe it can if you're low). Consistent use of regen reduces it further.
I would say if your battery was a lot warmer, or the SoC a lot lower (or both), then it would have been much...
It probably -10C
Also, from what I realized last year, it's clearly not based off the displayed temperature, the pack has a lot of thermistors, and I know if you go into the RiDE menu, it gives you pack in and out temps. Often these things are based on the min/max temp, not the average temp or...
Nah, cost is a lot less for paint. The cost of the paint is built into the base model, and red vs white is a meaningless difference, just like home depot, the colors are free, maybe metal flake is extra, but it's not a lot
The cost is the vendor chargers, on the charge port, and handles that...
I keep mine in the drivers side door, inside the case for my A2Z. The A2Z is currently rolling around the frunk while I wait for it's replacement (which I hope comes with a second case)
That's the point, it now doesn't turn on the heaters until it's below 15F, as long as you are above that. So it doesn't use energy to "warm-up the pack", it leaves it cold.
That said, if you charge shortly before leaving, charging does heat the pack, so it will be well above 15F. Using wall...
I do it with my EVSE using a couple scripts. It seems like if the pack is actually cold, like 25F, even on L2, it will slow charge and heat the pack before full speed charging. I find when I do this, the pack is 50-55F when I leave in the morning, regardless of outside temps.
I think a lot of...
Why would they make a custom color for a show if it's not the official color? Especially one let onto the public streets.
I think we know what this is, production has started for the quad, with at least one new color, and it's undergoing validation testing before the announcement.
Yea, it gets expensive, but I mention Porsche because they will let you just pick a color and they'll hand paint for $30k
My point is I could see it be $5k, that would likely cover those extra costs
That's a good point, NACS may be an option at first. I hope that's the case.
It's a quad, I think if you're blowing the money on the quad, a lot of people want to show it.
As for it being one time, nah, it fits the theme of the brake color, and it fits the Rivian theme of nature colors, it's...
They said it's an option and you can spec the other wheels. Also, those sport wheels probably are really bad on range. I'd only get them if you really value your 0-60 times
I really think that the Quad and NACS annoucments are immiment, in fact. In fact, I think they've been in production for a week. Factory had a shutdown over the holidays (which is when they usually roll in some tooling updates). Rumors before were they were planning for very early NACS rollout...
