I can think of MANY reasons not to automate this even though it's technically possible. There have been many times that I drive past the house going to the grocery before heading home.
I agree here. I turned it off after hearing it the first time. Not sure how Rivian thought that sounded like jingle bells. Maybe they should save it for next Halloween.
Just login to SiriusXM online, go to your account and select add a new car. Then enter your Rvian VIN number. I did that yesterday and added it to my existing account that has my Wife's car on it. Paying $5 a month for the Rivian.

I think possibly you are confusing the hotspots. The hotspot generated by the Rivian does require Connect +. To get around that, you connect the wireless connection on the Rivian to the hotspot on your phone. That doesn't require Connect +.

Sorry you are dealing with this. I love my R1S and really want to see Rivian be successful but sometimes I catch myself just shaking my head over some of the design decisions that were made. Hopefully your situation is just a fluke. Please keep us updated and just ignore the trolls!
I use to have great experience with EA but have learned lately to never count on them to be working. Always have a backup plan. I don't think EA even cares any longer how long their chargers are down.
