Ah yes........just cruising around the beach towns of Delaware trying to pick up babes with my Cybertruck.... I'll bet if you look closely the next time one drives by that they're driving SOLO.:CWL:
Thanks...this just provided me with an AHA moment.
I've had issues with the autosteer on some of the nearby winding country roads and even in my development. About a block from my house there's a sweeping turn of about 60 degrees or so. No matter how slow I take the turn, my truck starts the...
I'm glad Rivian is looking to get some name and vehicle recognition. However, as was just pointed out:
I'll fess up...I'm a retired numbers guy, not a marketing guy....it's a "cute" ad, but if I didn't already know that a Rivian had a gear tunnel and was an EV, I'd probably think this was an...
Gerry,
I've got a Comma 3X harness which I installed (except for the mount) 3 or 4 days ago. My Chun mount is supposed to arrive on Monday. I'd like to have the longitudinal control accessible thru Rivian's speed control buttons....BUT, if I understand you correctly, if I get Lukas' box, I'm...
Super news! If OpenPilot has BOTH lateral and longitudinal control, will it now (in theory) be able to follow a designated route??? If so (once again in theory) could we use the navigation screen to set up a route and have OP actually drive it???
Have not seen it yet in my IRS account. With all the turmoil due to DOGE cuts it wouldn't surprise me that there's going to be a lag for things to get processed.....even though it should be instantaneous in a computerized system.
Rivian is aware of the situation. I just had them contact me yesterday and indicate they were providing the information to the IRS for my credit to be issued. This only happened after I sent the following to a couple of folks at Rivian that I had previously interacted with:
I appreciate your...
A Cyberboat is being introduced. I hope it's more seaworthy than the truck...
I'll bet it's useful for trolling...😭

Edit: Picture of cyberboat from article:
No problems on my end. I've got my Uniden R7 hardwired into my Gen 1 fuse box (using a fuse tap) on the driver's side footwell...it still works beautifully.
That charging speed makes good headlines. However, if you're like me, it probably doesn't mean very much UNLESS I'm on a long road trip. 99% of the time the charger I've got in my garage gives me more range than I need on a daily basis at a much cheaper cost. In fact, I could have gotten away...
I also had a post deleted. I didn't think it was overtly political...definitely less political than many posts I've read on here. Oh well....c'est la vie. It's all good, we're all still posting, so we weren't banned from the site.
I used this one:

It was cheap and VERY easy to install...just clip to the sun visor. I used a small piece of foam about an inch thick to tilt the sunvisor down a little bit so the detector was completely level. It's worked great and the power wires tuck...
One question that I've been curious about. I realize that you're supposed to pay attention when using OpenPilot. However, what happens in an emergency situation, such as an idiot pulls out in front of you, etc. Does OpenPilot react BEFORE you do even though you were attentive??? ...OR do you...
