I'm in an R1S while my R1T is in the shop, and I don't really care for the R1S. The ride is sloppy, the sound system isn't as good (I have the Meridian in my truck), and I can't haul anything big and dirty. Can't wait to get my truck back!
I pulled my speaker out and connected it to a 45W usb-c charger for 24+ hours. I unplugged it so I could use the charger on my laptop and the speaker is "dead." It worked fine while plugged in and I assumed it would charge up; however, it did not. Once I plugged it into the charger it came back...
Thanks for the info. I did check the charging pins and there was nothing blocking them. They also appeared to be clean. I'll probably use a pencil eraser to try to buff off any that might be on them, too.
UPDATE -- Spoke with Rivian customer support and was informed that the dock only maintains the charge level, it does not actually charge the camp speaker. I was told to use a wall charger and then put the camp speaker back. If it goes dead, then I should call to have the dock inspected by...
I purchased a 2022 R1T used in April. I used the camp speaker once then put it back in the dock. I pulled it out today and the speaker seems dead. It won't turn or or show any sign of life.
I plugged in a USB -C wall charger and it a started to play just fine. Has anyone had issues with...
I have also had this occur. The app indicates that the alarm has been triggered. My dog was in the truck at the time. I assume you have to set the vehicle to pet mode to prevent this.
I have a Tesla wall charger and charge at 48A (to 70%) whenever my R1T is home. Tesla recommended keeping the vehicle plugged in to reduce strain on the low voltage battery so I adopted the same strategy with the Rivian.
I'll go one better get rid of cell phone period. Life functioned fine before they came along. Actually, I liked my life before cell phones became a thing.
I just bought my new-to-me R1T a couple weeks ago and I shamelessly wave and flash at all the other Rivian owners! :) I got snubbed tonight by an R1S. :-(
I have read that conserve mode wears the front tires hard. Does anyone know if there is truth to this? Does tire wear trump a few extra miles of range?
