Mine came today. Same model I’ve preordered except its not the right color. I preordered a R1T in Rivian Blue.

I hope Rivian can eventually target more middle class consumers

That potential cost savings can easily be eaten up by fluctuating quality of outsourced parts. At least that's what's happened at Boeing and some of the troubles they've had with the 787.

    Driver Seat Memory Feature

That would give me serious second thoughts about buying a R1T. I'm looking forward to Rivian releasing more detailed information about a lot of "stuff".

Audio system specifics? Amplifier, subwoofer, etc?

You're telling us that you're old? That's OK. I'm 1 1/2 years away from retirement and I still buy CDs of music I like.

    Can now change Model?

I also got the same email. I want to change nothing other than the date I can drive it home.

What do you guys think about a two-door R1T

I'll take that in Rivian blue, Ocean Coast interior, and the standard 20" wheels. Please and Thank You.

What do you guys think about a two-door R1T

That would by my first choice over the 4 door version, but I don't want to wait to see if that ever becomes a possibility

    Wall-Mounted Charge Station?

Tax credits and rebates bring the final price down. The main benefit to me is being able to set the EVSE to charge during off-peak times. Off-peak electric rate for me are 1/3 of the peak rate. I'll install 50 amp circuit with a NEMA 12-50 receptacle at my son's house and use the cable to...

Rivian Bluetooth Speaker / Lantern - Details & Video!

That is the feature I was most interested in seeing. My wife seems to think I have a flashlight obsession, but I'm of the opinion that you can always use just 1 more flashlight.

    Wall-Mounted Charge Station?

If I use the #6 tray cable I got, I'll to do that. It has red, black, white and green conductors. The alternative is to run some 3/4" flex, then I could either pull in the neutral now, or do it when the need arrises. Fortunately, I'm a Journeyman Electrician, so the price of the outlet is...

    Roll Call

Yes they are. We live in Salem, OR. The path of totality was dead center where we live during the last eclipse that passed over the US.

    Wall-Mounted Charge Station?

Thanks for your response. Yes, it was a typo. I'm going with the 6-50 unit.

    Wall-Mounted Charge Station?

Nah, you don't need a law degree to read the NEC (National Electrical Code), just a bachelors degree as that is the level it is written at. That's the reason the whole last term of apprenticeship at my local is spent on Code Yes, I'm an electrician with 30 years of experience. I know the right...

Accessories Included in Config Pricing: Roof Rack and Tow Hitch?

Would you be less disappointed with a $80,500 vehicle that included a spare? This kind of pricing is "Unbundled" pricing. It's very popular with airlines and not so much with passengers. You might be surprised that there are people who think they don't need a full sized spare and appreciate...

Well that is good news. That news really sucks, a lot.

What We Do Not Know - Important Information Still Needed to Make an Informed Decision

BOOOOO. I really want Apple CarPlay. I do NOT want anything to do with Alexa.

I quoted you to agree with your post. You had the right words, I just added the photos. Teamwork FTW!

Accessories Included in Config Pricing: Roof Rack and Tow Hitch?

This is were a couple of photos will make things more clear. Hitch receiver: This is the kind that you'd bolt onto a vehicle. The square hole in the center is the receiver. The R1T and R1S will come with this square hole. This is the part you'll have to buy to tow a trailer: It will go into...

I think might apply to most of the forum members, including me.

Factory Tour and Accepting Delivery On-Site... and My "Dream Delivery"

I would definitely want to go, but it would also depend on time of year. I would much rather drive from Normal to Oregon when it isn't mid-winter snow season.
