Have you installed this update yet? The lag switching between apps and pulling up the climate controls is pretty much gone now, it’s very snappy.

Must have been one of the first to get the update this time. Switching between apps is significantly faster now. There is a little lag the first time you open them on a drive, but after that it’s pretty much instantaneous. R1S Gen2 Dual Motor Max

Anyone with a Gen2 do this yet? We don't even have fog lights anymore so I imagine lighting performance for snow/dust/heavy rain at night will be even worse.

I would look into lemon law for this. I’m not sure exactly how much it usually pays out, but you could probably get back the full price you paid and then buy a Gen2. Unfortunately it seems like the specific truck you got just happens to have a lot of issues.

Yeah that’s definitely not normal, I would submit a service ticket for it. Mine is fairly quiet.

When does your car do this? I can try to replicate it, but I definitely haven’t noticed anything like that in my Gen2.

I can see the 5 GHz signal on my Gen2 but the WiFi range is rather weak on my R1S. Where my phone might have a decent signal in the driveway the R1S struggles.

You might want to have an electrician look at that. The lights and charger are on completely different circuits, so it should not be impacting them. I had something like this happening at my house, and eventually my main panel arced due to a loose wire and I had to get a bunch of electrical...

I would get that warning but then after pulling out of my garage it would seem to go away. Maybe because it’s too close to objects in front so it think they are blocked? I haven’t done a hard reset yet, seems like it isn’t usually recommended? Any harm in doing so?

Anyone having issues with Too early to tell imo, I’ve had it stay on for a few days and then go, or a few hours.

On Gen2 the center console usb ports stop working entirely, which is then causing Drive Cam to not work. Really hope this all gets worked out in the next update.

I’m almost thinking we all need to start submitting service tickets for this in order for Rivian to take it seriously. A $300 soundbar from Walmart sounds better than the $2k premium audio upgrade we all paid for.

Just received my opt-in email for the NACS adapter. Picked up my Gen2 on August 10th, so pretty quick turn around. Anyone else who has ordered recently, Gen1 or Gen2, receive their opt-in email yet?
